In this guide, you will find out how to turn on Ray Tracing in Fortnite on your PC. You will be able to play with amazing new graphics.
First, you will need to make sure you have a ray tracing compatible graphics card. If you do, then make sure you have the latest update installed for Windows 10 and then install the latest graphics driver as well.
After that, launch Fortnite and click on the three lines in the top right-hand corner. You then need to click on the settings.
Then scroll down to Advanced Settings, and turn on DirectX version 12, otherwise, you won’t be able to enable ray tracing. As you can see ray tracing is currently grayed out and it does say on the right-hand side, that you need to have DirectX 12 on. Turn on ray tracing and press confirm.
After that, you will have a few other options, you can turn on the ray tracing for shadows, reflections, ambient and global. Once you have changed the settings that you want to set, go ahead and press apply. Then restart Fortnite and check the result.
