How to Update Xbox Controller on Windows PC

In this guide, you will come to know how to Update Xbox Controller on Windows PC. You have to follow all the instructions carefully to update it.  

Step 1

First, you will need to go to the Start menu of your PC and tap on the search bar. Then you have to search for Microsoft Store and open it up. 

Step 2

After that, you will need to tap on the search option on the top right side of the store home screen. Enter Xbox accessories in the search bar and press the enter button. 

Step 3

In the Xbox accessories tab, you have to tap on the Launch button located at the right side of the screen.  

The next thing you will need to do is connect your device, and your Xbox will appear on your screen, as shown in the image below.  

Step 4

After that, click on the Configure button under the controller, and you will see that you have the option to remap your controller. You can map the A button to the Y button or d-pad button etc; it’s up to you. 

From this option, you can also turn off the controller vibration. You can also swipe triggers and invert the Y and X-axis also swap the sticks, as shown in the image below.  

Step 5

If you want to update your controller, then you have to go back and press the More option under the configure button. You will see three different options; you will need to tap on the Update Controller option and press the Continue button to start the update. After that, wait until your controller updates completely, as shown in the image below.
