In order to guide blocks using snow, you have to place an item frame on the ground and add a small piece of cobblestone on it.
After this, you need to add snow on the item frame. Place another item frame on the ground and add a small piece of gold as shown in the image below.
The next thing you have to do is to add snow on this item frame.
