The Spectrum Retreat – Save Game

The Spectrum Retreat is a first-person puzzle game that challenges gamers as they explore the near future, encountering bizarre challenges and surreal environments. Players are immersed in their journey through The Penrose Hotel in an attempt to escape. Dan Smith Studios has released a new indie puzzle game, The Spectrum Retreat. It is available on  Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.

Where is the save game folder in The Spectrum Retreat?

There are two locations of The Spectrum Retreat save file. If you didn’t find it in the first location, you can try the next one. 

  1. The Spectrum Retreat save file is located in your user directory. You will need to go to Documents and then open up the “My Games” folder. After that, navigate to “TheSpectrumRetreat” -> Saves and click on “SpectrumData” to access the file. 

C:\Users\%UserName%\Documents\My Games\TheSpectrumRetreat\Saves\SpectrumData

  1. You have to go to Program Files (x86) inside the C drive and open up the Steam folder. THen you need to go to “userdata” and you will find your Steam User ID Number. 

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\Steam User ID Number\763250\remote

How Do I Install the Save File?

First, you will need to download the save game file and extract it with the help of  WinZip. After that, you have to copy the save file to a save games location and make sure to have a backup of your save.  

Important: Always back up the save file before replacing it with the new one.
