Voldemort Spells
For role-playing purposes, Slytherin House should be chosen. It’s unnecessary, as it has no impact on the spells, but respecting the lore, Slytherin House is the obvious choice. This build primarily focuses on the Unforgivable Curses and the usage of the Avada Kedavra spell. Completing Sebastian Sallow’s side-quests unlocks the Unforgivable Curses. The Avadar Kedavra spell is unlocked at a much later stage.
The first spell in the Avada Kedavra build is Crucio. This spell inflicts intense, excruciating physical pain on enemies, cursing them. The enemies can’t move and are vulnerable to additional attacks. Mostly used for immobilizing an enemy during combat. Another benefit of this spell is that it breaks through damage shields with no resistance.
Imperio is the second curse used in this impressive build. This spell curses the recipient and makes them fight nearby enemies temporarily. Helpful when fighting deadly enemies to turn the tide of the battle. Enemies struck with Imperio don’t take damage unless they are the last enemy left.
Avada Kedavra is a highly lethal spell. It instantly kills the enemy when cast, and in the case of bosses, it takes away one of their health bars. This spell should be used tactfully as the spell has a long cool-down period. This deadly spell should be used on the remaining health bars of tough-to-kill bosses. It delivers an incredible attack and instantly kills whatever remaining health an enemy has left.
For the fourth spell slot, choose one of these three. Flipendo, Expelliarmus, or Arresto Momentum. The underlying reason is that each has a corresponding talent that curses the enemy. Arresto Momentum is suggested, which fits in with Voldemort’s lore. Additionally, it’s practical for separating and isolating enemies as it suspends and slows down enemies.
Voldemort Talents
Talents are crucial to this Voldemort’s build effectiveness. Blood Curse is an impressive talent that ensues dealing damage to a singular cursed target and inflicts damage to all cursed targets. As most of this build revolves around cursing targets, this talent ensures collective damage to all enemies.
If you’ve chosen Arresto Momentum, then take the Slowing Curse. For Flipendo and Expelliarmus, choose the Knockback curse and Disarming curse, respectively. The Slowing curse curses targets when Arresto momentum is cast, causing targets to suffer increased damage. The Enduring Curse is a must, which keeps enemies cursed for longer. As this build specializes in cursed targets, this is a no-brainer. Imperio Mastery is another important talent. Enemies cast with Imperio curse, curse other enemies on successful strikes. This talent helps spread the curse around a battlefield, playing into this build’s strength.
Crucio Mastery is extremely vital for this Avada Kedvra build. A basic attack on an enemy already under a Crucio spell releases projectiles, cursing nearby enemies. It is a very effective talent for increasing the number of cursed enemies on the battlefield. This talent can curse many targets and is crucial for this build. Don’t skip this one out. Avada Kedavra Mastery is the crowning jewel of this Voldemort-inspired build. Casting Avada Kedavra on any target instantly kills all cursed enemies. Extremely effective and ensures the battlefield is completely dominated. This is the end goal for this build so that players can decimate an entire battlefield with a single cast. Curse Sapper is a regenerative talent that replenishes health whenever a cursed enemy is defeated. This talent serves as the defensive rearguard to this impressive build.
Core Talents
Basic Cast Mastery reduces with the cooldown period of spells, which is essential to any build. Spell Knowledge allows you to swap another bar of spells. Swift is a useful talent for dodging enemy spells. Wiggenweld Potency 1&2 enhances the efficacy of healing potions. Basic Cast Airborne Absorption works well with this build as Arresto Momentum is being used. This allows you to regenerate Ancient Magic through attacks on airborne enemies. Ancient magic isn’t used in this build but enhances the Arresto Momentum spell.
As this is a Voldemort-inspired build, Room of Requirement and stealth talents aren’t required. The thinking with this impressive build is to show up and obliterate enemies in a show of force. The combat strategy is simple. Cast Crucio on one target, Cast Imperio on another target, then cast Arresto Momentum on a different target. Attack the Crucio target to spread curses around the battlefield and finally cast Avada Kedavra to wipe out all enemies. Terrifying, no?
Voldemort Traits
There’s only a single trait used in this Avada Kedavra build. Unforgivable III is stacked on all armor pieces. This Level III trait significantly increases the damage to cursed targets. It also increases the damage taken from basic attacks and objects when cursed. Cursed targets take a staggering amount of damage and are easily defeated. Collect this trait from collection chests in bandit camps using the spawn-reload shortcut.
