There are two ways you can get Paraffinium, and the first way is by finding it on certain types of planets.
The types of planets you’re going to be looking for are earthlike planets/tropical planets. They can be found as a planetary resource on those planets, so you can mine them using the terrain manipulator or find a hotspot for them and set up amine on that planet.
Unless you use a portal to reach a specific system, finding a tropical planet is more or less random. So if there isn’t a planet like that in your system, you’ll just have to warp to a new one until you’re able to find a tropical planet.
Once you reach a tropical planet, all you need to do is use your analysis visor to look for paraffin deposits around the planet.
You can get paraffinium by getting the medium refiner blueprint from the construction research station in the space anomaly for 10 salvaged Data and putting silver and oxygen in it to refine it into paraffinium.
