Wigenweld Potions are health potions that replenish your health during combat. Buying them costs a lot of gold. Additionally, stores that sell them have limited quantities, so it’s better to brew them yourself. You must have progressed enough in the game to unlock the talent pool and the Room of Requirement. This guide takes you through all the steps to brew Wiggenweld Potions and brew them efficiently.
Horklump Juice
To brew Wiggenweld Potions, you need two basic ingredients; Dittany leaves and Horklump Juice. Dittany leaves are unlocked by completing the Herbology classes. Horklump juices are small creatures that resemble mushrooms; they tend to grow underground and in caves. One location where you’ll be able to find plenty of Horklump Juice is near Upper Hogsfield. There’s a Horklump Hollow just east of Upper Hogsfield, with plenty of Horklump Juice growing there.
Once you get to Horklump Hollow, defeat 1 to 2 small enemies and use Revelio to find HorkLump juices. An estimated 2-3 plants are growing near the entrance to Horklump Hollow. Collect them and then proceed inside the Hollow. You’ll need a fire-based spell to eliminate a few obstacles, i.e., Confringo or Incendio. As you follow the path, there is Horklump juice growing by the side of the path, don’t forget to collect them. Beware, a Mountain Troll resides there, so it’s best to go there prepared. You can also choose not to engage with the Troll, running away from the area towards the pool and climbing a wall. After defeating/evading the Troll, you’ll come across 8 -9 Horklump Juice. Harvest them and get out of there through a small passageway leading to the Forbidden Forest. At the exit, you’ll find the last of Horklump juice; collect it. That brings the total collection to 15 from a single location.
Horklump Juice takes three days of in-game time to respawn, so go to your menu and press the prompt for Wait. Do this 7 times to be safe as a single prompt fast forwards half a day. Do another run of Horklump juice in Horklump Hollow, evading the troll. You’ll now have enough Horklump Juice for 25-30 Wiggenweld Potions.
Buying Potion Brewing Equipment
Go to Tomes and Scrolls in Hogsmeade. You’ll need to buy a table for the Room of Requirement that lets you fit 5 small pots. It is going to be used for the harvesting of Dittany leaves. It would help if you also bought the T-shaped Potions table that lets you craft 3 Wiggenweld potions every 15 seconds. Don’t overspend on bigger tables, as you can only carry 25 Wiggenweld potions at all times.
Brewing Wiggenweld Potions
In the Room of Requirement, set up the 5-pot table and use Dittany seeds to harvest Dittany leaves. Dittany leaves spawn every 10 minutes, giving you a yield of 25 Dittany Leaves every 10 minutes. Next, head over to the T-shaped Potions table; it lets you craft 3 potions simultaneously. Start crafting the Wiggenweld Potions on all three spaces, and it has a brewing time of 5 seconds per potion. In 15 seconds, you’ll have 3 Wiggenweld Potions, and you can craft till you run out of space (max:25) or ingredients. It is a much better method than buying Wiggenweld Potions and is much more efficient and cheap.
Talents
Wiggenweld potions alone are too ineffective to substantially heal the wizard/witch. Head over to the Talent pool and then into Core Talents. Unlock Wiggenweld Potency 1 and Wiggenweld Potency 2, respectively. These talents greatly enhance the effects of Wiggenweld Potions. Consuming them when in critical health restores your health with a single potion. Don’t forget to get these talents but remember you need to be Level 16 or above to unlock Wiggenweld Potency 2.
