Auto-Save system
The auto system saves the game regularly. A blue ring will appear in the top right-hand corner, indicating that the game is being saved.
You must not turn off your Switch while the blue ring is visible, otherwise, your save might get corrupted.
How to save the game manually?
To record your progress manually, you have to follow the steps below:
- Press the ‘–‘ button on your Nintendo Switch’s right Joy-Con.
A prompt will open up asking you to choose ‘Save and Continue’ or ‘Save and End.’ - If you want to quit the game entirely, choose the ‘Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ option.
