Download the Helicopter pack and client mod

- First, you will need to open the Steam application on your computer and download the Helicopter pack.
This pack contains all the necessary car covers and files for the game. - After the Helicopter pack is downloaded, you will need to download the client mod.
- Once the client mod is downloaded, locate the “Subscribe” button and click on it to subscribe to the pack.
After subscribing, the Helicopter pack will appear in your add-ons folder.
Add Helicopters in DayZ
This section describes how to add Helicopters in DayZ. The steps involve downloading Helicopter_pbo_server_mod and then extracting its content to bring helicopters into the game.
- Open the File Explorer and navigate to the Steamapps folder. Within the Steamapps folder, locate and open the “common” folder.
- Open the “DayZ” folder within the “common” folder and double-click on the “Workshop” folder.
- Inside the Workshop folder, find the “@Helicopter Pack” folder, and copy it.
- Navigate to the DayZ server folder and paste the copied folder there.
- Navigate to the pack folder and open the keys folder. Inside the keys folder, find the Round_Eyes file and copy it.
- Now, go back to your DayZ server folder and open the keys folder inside it.
- Right-click inside the keys folder and select “Paste” to paste the copied Round_Eyes file into the DayZ server’s keys folder.
- Next, navigate to the DayZ folder and look for a file named “start.bat“.
- You need to open up the start.bat file with your preferred text editor.
- Go to the mod section within the “start.bat” file and type “@Helicopter Pack” (without the quotes).
- Next, open up your web browser to download Helicopter_pbo_server_mod.
- Once you reach the web page, look for a button labelled Code at the top and click on it.
- From the dropdown menu that appears, select the option “Download ZIP” option.
It will download the ZIP file on your computer.
- Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded ZIP file on your computer and extract it.
- Once the extraction is complete, navigate to the extracted folder and copy the HelicopterMod_SERVER.pbo file inside it.
- Navigate to the DayZ Server folder, create a new folder inside it and name it “@Heli“.
- Open the “@Heli” folder and create a new folder named “Addons“.
- After that, open the newly created “Addons” folder and then paste the HelicopterMod_SERVER.pbo file inside it.
It will load the client-side mods.
- If you are self-hosting or using a VPS (Virtual Private Server) for your DayZ server, then you have to open the “start.bat” file with a text editor of your choice.
- Navigate to the mods section and type “serverMod=@Heli“.
- After that, press the Ctrl and S keys simultaneously on your keyboard to save the changes and then close the text editor.
It will load the server-side mods.
It will put helicopters into the server and you can start flying them around.
