Once on the home screen, you have to press the R1 button and go to Collections. After that, use R2 and you can go to Gear and Vehicles. Go to the vehicle you want to upgrade or customize and press X on it to customize.
You can press R1 to go to Hardware and put camouflage on the tank or press R2 to go to Decals. You can put any decal you want. Make sure to go through each of the sections to see if you did unlock something. You will find the challenges to unlock them.
Make sure you have everything equipped that you want, otherwise, the vehicle will not be as proficient as it is supposed to be.
