This guide will show you how to Find Coal in Minecraft.
In Minecraft, it is pretty difficult to find coal. If you’re lucky enough to spawn at a location where the coal is, then you can mine it. If you are in a location with no coal near you, then you have to get a furnace and you’ll need cobalt stone which is readily available in Minecraft.
Once you get a furnace, you will need to put the planks below and the wooden log above it. It will create charcoal which is totally a perfect substitute for coal.
The coal is usually used to make candles and you can also do it with charcoal. Just put charcoal and a stick in a crafting box and it will make a torch for you.
But if you still need coal, then you do not need to go to the caves. Go to the mountain instead and break them, you will hopefully find coal there.
