Finding the hotspots is not very hard depending on what you’re looking for but before anything you will need to have the survey device upgraded for your analysis visor which you can purchase from the space anomaly. So make sure you have that before starting and then head to any planet or a planet with resources on it that you want.
Once you’ve reached a planet, you need to look through your analysis visor and scroll over to either mineral or power mode which you can see by the pickaxe symbol and the lightning bolt symbol. When you select those modes, it will look for mineral or power hotspots that you can use.
There are also four different potential/parity for the type of hotspot you can get C, B, A, and S with S being the best type you can get and c being the worst. So you must keep that in mind before you decided to build around a hotspot/deposit.
Now if you look through your visor and don’t see any hotspot deposits, then you need to keep moving around the planet until hotspots being to appear on your visor.
