In this guide, you will find how to fix MIC Not Working in APEX LEGENDS on a PC (Windows 10 or 11).
1- First, boot up your game, open the game settings Window, and go over to Audio. Under here, you can see the Voice Chat Input device. It will be your microphone, essentially, and it says system default, but let’s go ahead and select the microphone you want to use.

2- Then, come down to the Voice Chat Record mode option. The default is pushed to talk on the PC. It says you must push the T key on your keyboard and hold it down to communicate so you can see the open mic threshold. When you speak, it will go up and down.
You can set it to open mic, so when you start communicating, your microphone will automatically send a signal, and you don’t need to hold the T button.
3- The next option is to open the microphone record threshold; if you have a lot of background noise, you can increase this so all the low-end sounds, like keyboard clicks and such, won’t be picked up. The next option is incoming voice chat at the bottom. If your teammates are too loud or too soft, you must increase it.

4- After that, close the game and go to your desktop; click the Windows button and open the settings. You must go to sound settings and ensure your input and output devices are correct. Also, make sure that your volume is set high enough.

5- After that, go under Advanced and click on More Sound settings. A small window will open in front of you. In this list, find the speaker, right-click on it, and select “Set Default.”

Now click on the recording tab from the top, scroll down until you find the microphone, and then set it to default.

4- After that, click on Volume mixer, find APEX LEGENDS in this list, and ensure that its volume is turned On. Then expand it, and the output should be set to the speaker, and the input should be set to the Microphone.
