Getting more frigates after you’ve gotten your first frigate actually isn’t difficult at all, but it can take a little time depending on how long it takes for the frigate to actually show up. Also, you do not have to have another dream aerial to find more ships, but you will need an anomaly detector to detect and find the frigates. So make sure you have one or a few before starting to look for more frigates.
Now once you have anomaly detectors, you need to head out into space in a random system and use the detector and pulse. While you are pulsing, it’s likely that you’re going to get a few messages saying that an anomaly is detected but you’re going to ignore those and wait till a message saying a whalesong has been detected as that is the living frigate signal you’re looking for. And getting an S-class living frigate is more or less the same as getting a normal one. You have to look for living frigates in 3-star/rich systems for a better chance of finding an s-class ship.
