This guide will let you know how to get Nitrogen in No Man’s Sky.
Nitrogen is very simple to find, although you can only find nitrogen on certain planet types. So you need to make sure you’re on the right planet type before looking for nitrogen to harvest. You can find Nitrogen on planets that are Toxic, Poisonous, Noxious, Rotting, Corrosive, Acidic, Caustic, Acrid, Blighted, Miasmatic, and Rotting.

You can also find it on planets that are Lush, Rainy, Verdant, Tropical, Viridescent, Paradise, Temperature, Overgrown, Flourishing, Grassy, and Bountiful environments. Once you are on the planet that you are looking for, you can gather nitrogen in two ways. The first way you can do it’s by finding a nitrogen/gas hotspot on the planet using your analysis visor and placing gas extractors around the hotspot to gather nitrogen for you. The other way you can do it is by placing down atmosphere harvesters anywhere on the planet and when powered they will collect nitrogen.
