Getting over to ginger island for the first time can be a little bit of a mystery.
Before you head over to ginger island for the very first time, you will need to have a few things done in advance. You have to complete the community center and the base quests from Willy, which is to the beach that you get on day two of spring, and catch a squid which you get on the second day of winter. You also need to catch a lame cod on the 13th day of winter.
As long as you have completed all of these things, you can go a couple of days past the community center. Then you will have a letter from Willy asking you to come over and check out the goodies he’s got hiding in his backroom.
After getting over to the beach and getting ready to check out Willie’s back room, you will get a brand new Willie cutscene. You will see Willy has an old boat in need of repair, you have to prepare the materials and bring them all over to get this boat in ship shape. After that, take a quick nap as it’s gonna be built overnight.
It will give you a ticket station just like the bus that will allow us to travel over to the ginger island for a thousand gold.
Once you arrive at the island, it will open up an abundance of content.
