This guide will show you how to install and use the DynDOLOD in Skyrim.
1. Dyndolod makes far-away things look better in the Skyrim game. You must install the Mod Organizer 2, SKSE (For Legendary Edition), SKSE64 (For Special Edition), Winrar, or 7-Zip file archiver, PapyrusUtil, and Indistinguishable Vanilla Billboards Mods before installing the DynDOLOD. You can download the PapyrusUtil and Indistinguishable Vanilla Billboards mods from “https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/13048” and “https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/11446” respectively. Open the link, click on the Files Tab, and then press the Manual Download button to get the mod file.
2. Now open the mod organizer and click on the disk icon at the top left corner and select the downloaded files of the mods to install them. After that, enable them by checking the box.
3. Now download the special edition version of the DynDolod from “https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/32382/“. Open the link and click on the Files Tab, then press the Manual Download button under the DynDolod and DynDolod Resources SE to get the mod files.
4. Open the downloaded file of the Dyndolod using the Winrar archiver, and drag the whole “DynDolod” folder into your Skyrim directory.
5. Now go to the mod organizer and install DynDolod Resources. Click on the disk icon at the top left corner and select the downloaded file of DynDolod Resources. Select the options you want when the installation window opens and then click on the Install button.
6. Don’t forget to check the box to enable the mod.
7. Now it’s time to set up the DynDolod mod. Open the Dyndolod folder from your Skyrim directory.
8. Now open the mod organizer, click the dropdown menu, and click on the “<Edit…>” option. You will find the Modify Executables window, where you need to click on the Plus icon and select “Add from file”. Go to the DynDolod folder inside the Skyrim SE directory, select the DynDolodx64.exe file, and click the open button. Then paste the Dyndolod directory path in the “Start In” box and type in “-sse” to the Arguments input field if you are on Special Edition and check the box against the “Use application’s icon”. Press Apply and OK buttons.
9. Now again click on the dropdown menu, and tap on the “<Edit…>” option. You will find the Modify Executables window, where you need to click on the Plus icon and select “Add from file”. Go to the DynDolod folder inside the Skyrim SE directory, select the TexGenx64.exe file this time, and click the open button. Then paste the Dyndolod directory path in the “Start In” box and type in “-sse” to the Arguments input field, If you are on Special Edition. Check the box against the “Use application’s icon”, then press Apply and OK buttons.
10. Now to run the TextGen, go to the drop-down menu in the Mod organizer, select the TextGenx64 and press the Run button.
11. Then set the LOD texture size to anything you like; if you lower the number, then less VRAM will be used. After setting this, click on the Start button.
12. This part can take a long time. Click on the Exit button when the pop-up appears.
13. Now go to the DynDolod folder inside your Skyrim SE directory, open the TextGen_Output folder, and archive the textures folder using the Winrar Archiver.
14. Go to the mod organizer and install this file like normal, as you have installed the mod and check the box for the mod to enable it.
15. Now it’s time to run the DynDolod, go to the drop-down menu in the Mod organizer, select the DynDolodx64 and click the Run button.
16. Then click on the Ok button and press the Advanced tab on the DynDolod window.
17. Right-click on the list at the top left corner and choose “Select all”, then select the “High” tab and checkmark the boxes for Load rules for Candles and FXGlow. After that, click the OK button.
18. This part will also take a long time. Click on the Save & Exit button when the pop-up appears.
19. Now go back to the DynDolod folder inside your Skyrim SE directory, open the DynDolod_Output folder, and archive all the files using the Winrar Archiver.
20. Now go to the mod organizer and install this file like normal, as you have installed the mods before, and check the box for the mod to enable it.
21. Move the DynDolod.esm file to the end of where the ESMs are at the right side Plugins panel.
