“Better 3rd Person Flight Camera” mod enhances your game experience by repositioning the camera so that it stays at a convenient distance from your spacecraft, particularly when piloting larger ships. For your convenience, it includes the ability to install using a bat file or CCR.
Bat File Installation:
To install the Better 3rd Person Flight Camera mod in Starfield, follow these simple steps:
- First, download the Better 3rd Person Flight Camera mod from the Nexus site. (You might need to create an account if you don’t have one).
- After downloading the mod file, you’ll need to extract the .txt file into the Starfield game directory.
Starfield location:
Local Disk (C:) > Users > Documents > My Games > Starfield
Starfield location (Steam):
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starfield\
Note: You’ll have to overwrite the files in case of any duplicate files.
- Now, download the ‘StarfieldCustom.ini’ file, which can be found in the ‘Misc’ folder.
- Move the ‘StarfieldCustom.ini’ file to the ‘Starfield’ directory.
- If you already have the ‘StarfieldCustom.ini’ file, simply add the following lines under the [General] section.

- Now make sure this configuration file contains the following lines as well:

Alternatively, you can also auto-install the mod by using Vortex mod manager.
