“Linked Companion Spacesuit” is an experimental mod that encourages companions to wear space suits that match your settings. Keep in mind that using this mod might impact game stability and disable achievements.
To install the Linked Companion Spacesuit mod in Starfield, follow these simple steps:
- First, download and install the “Plugins.txt Enabler” if you haven’t already.
This tool is often used to enable additional plugins in the game.
- Now, download the Linked Companion Spacesuit mod from the Nexus site. (You might need to create an account if you don’t have one).
- After downloading the mod file, you’ll need to put the ESP file into the Data folder of the Starfield game directory.
Starfield location:
Local Disk (C:) > Users > Documents > My Games > Starfield
Starfield location (Steam):
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Starfield\
Note: You’ll have to overwrite the files in case of any duplicate files.
- Next, navigate to your “AppData\Local\Starfield” folder. You can quickly access this folder by typing “%appdata%” into the Windows search bar and press Enter key.
- In the “AppData\Local\Starfield” folder, add the following line into a text file and save it as “Plugins.txt”. If the “Plugins.txt” file doesn’t already exist, create it.

Alternatively, you can also auto-install the mod by using Vortex mod manager.
That’s it! Your mod is now installed. You can try it out by launching the game.
