The first thing you will need to do is press the Triangle button from the controller to open the invite friends tab on the bottom right side of the screen. In the roaster menu, if you select a person profile then you will see that you can invite them to your game if they are online in the friends list. To invite them to your party, you need to go to your friends list, then choose the friend you want to invite and click on the Invite option.
When you click on the Invite button, it will send the invitation to your friend and then they will be able to join your team. If you want to invite a crossplay friend then you need to go to the Manage invites tab from the top and tap over to search by bungie name. You have to enter your friend’s bungie name with a hashtag and number to add them to your friends list.
