Crossbows are similar to bows but take longer to load and are slightly more powerful, can shoot further due to slightly higher accuracy. They can be drawn back by using them, forcing the player to move at a sneaking speed, and unlike bows, the arrow or firework rocket will only be fired after it is fully loaded.
To make a Crossbow, you will need Wood Log, Iron Ore, Spider Strings, Iron Ingot using furnace, Wood Planks, Wood Sticks and Tripwire Hook. Please follow the following steps to make a Crossbow.
Wood Log
In order to make a Crossbow, the basic item that you will need to get is a Log of any kind of wood. So find any tree and get at least one log of wood using Iron axe.
Iron Ore
The next required item that you need to find is iron ore. Equip your stone pickaxe and find at least two iron ore blocks. You will find some under the ground.
Spider Strings
After that the next required item that you need to get is spider strings. You can find spiders in caves, kill them using your iron sword to get at least two strings.
Iron Ingot using furnace
Now you need to use the furnace to get iron ingot as you have iron ore in stock. Go towards the furnace to add coal and an iron ore block in it. Add one iron ore in the upper box and coal in the lower box to get iron ingot in the right-side box of the furnace. Add this iron ingot into your “ready to use” stock.
Wood Planks
After that you need to make wood planks from wood blocks you have collected. Move to the crafting table just next to the furnace and add wood block in any cell of 3*3 crafting grid to get wood planks in the right-side box of the crafting table. One wood block will convert into 4 wood planks. Bring these wood planks into inventory.
Wood Sticks
Now you need to craft sticks from wood planks using the crafting table. Open up 3*3 crafting grid and add two wood planks in adjacent cells of any column, as shown in the image below. Two wood planks will give you four sticks. Add them into inventory to use later.
Tripwire Hook
Now add one iron ingot in the top cell, one stick in the middle cell and one wood plank in the lower cell of any column of the crafting grid. You will get a Tripwire Hook in the right-side box of the crafting table. Add this Hook in your “ready to use” stock.
Crossbow
Now finally you can craft a crossbow as you have all the required items in stock. Use crafting table once more and open up 3*3 crafting grid to add one iron ingot, three wood sticks, two spider strings and a tripwire door in the same way as shown in the following image. You will get a crossbow in the right-side box of the crafting table. Add this item in your “ready to use” stock.
