Maps are very useful in Minecraft. They are used to view the explored area. To make an Empty Map, you will need Iron Ore, Red Stone and Iron Ingot Using Furnace, Compass, Sugar canes and Paper from Sugar Canes. Please follow the following steps to make a Map.
Iron Ore
In order to make a map, you first need to find and get at least four iron ores. Equip your stone pick axe and find some iron ore blocks. You will find some in the underground mining area.
Red Stone
Now the next required item that you will have to find and get is red stone. Use your pickaxe to gather at least one red stone.
Iron Ingot using Furnace
Go towards the furnace and add coal and iron ore blocks in it. Four iron ores will give you four iron ingots. Add these iron ingots in your inventory.
Compass
Now move to the crafting table beside the furnace to craft a compass. Open up 3*3 crafting grid to add four ingots and a red stone in the same way as shown in the image below. You will get a Compass in the right-side box of the crafting table. Add this item in your “ready to use” stock.
Sugar canes
Then you will have to find at least nine sugar canes . Equip your iron sword to cut them from sugar cane fields.
Paper from Sugar Canes
Now you have to go to the crafting table to craft three sugar cane papers. Open the 3*3 crafting grid and add nine sugarcanes in the middle row and get three paper in the right-side box. Put these papers in your inventory to use them later to make a book.
Map
Now you can craft an empty map using the crafting table. Add a compass in the middle cell of the grid and eight papers around it like shown in the image below. You will get an empty map in the right side box of the crafting table.
