A Minecart with a chest works the same like a minecart, it helps you to store and transport goods. But the player cannot ride in it.
To make Minecart with a chest, you will need Wood Logs, Iron Ore, Iron Ingot using furnace, Wood Planks, Wood Chest and Minecart. Please follow the following steps to make Minecart with Chest.
Wood Logs
In order to make Minecart with a chest, the basic item you need to get is any kind of wood log. Go towards the forest and chop down any tree to get at least 2 logs of wood.
Iron Ore
The next required item that you will need to find and get is iron ore. You have to get at least five iron ore blocks. Equip your stone pickaxe and find some iron ore blocks. You will find them in the underground mining area.
Iron Ingot using Furnace
Now you need to use the furnace to get iron ingots. Go towards the furnace, add coal and iron ore blocks in it. Five iron ores will give you five iron ingots. Add these iron ingots into your inventory.
Wood Planks
After that you have to make wooden planks from Oak wood blocks. Move to the crafting table just next to the furnace and add wood blocks in any cell of the 3*3 crafting grid to get wooden planks in the right-side box of the crafting table. One wood block will convert into 4 wood planks. Bring these planks in your inventory.
Wood Chest
Now you need to craft a wooden chest. Add 8 wood planks on the crafting grid in the same way as shown in the image below. You will get a wooden chest in the right-side box of the crafting table. Add this wooden chest in your inventory.
Minecart
And then you have to craft a minecart using the crafting table. Add five iron ingots on the crafting grid in the same way as shown in the image below, so that it should make a shape of minecart. You will get a minecart in the right-side box of the crafting table. Add this minecart in your “ready to use” stock. Minecart is used to transport items, mobs and the players while on rail.
Minecart With Chest
Finally, you will be able to craft a minecart with a chest using the crafting table. Open 3*3 crafting grid and choose any column to add minecart and chest in adjacent cells, where chest must be in upper box and minecart in lower. You will get a minecart with a chest in the right side box to the crafting table. Add this item in your “ready to use” stock.
