How to play PSP on Android phonetablet setup

This guide will tell you how to play PSP on an Android phone/tablet setup. You have to follow the step-by-step instructions to play it.

Download Emulator

First, you have to open your Google play store or Apple app store and write “ppsspp- PSP emulator” in the search bar. Then click on install and it will start your downloading.

Game Settings

Once the installation finishes, you have to open the app and it will take permission for accessing your photos, videos, and other stuff. You need to click on Allow and turn your phone into horizontal mode. For the backend, you have to click on the settings, then go to the Graphics tab on the left side and click on the backend. Set it to Open GL, then it will require you to restart PPSSPP, click on yes and the emulator will restart.

Once the app is restarted, you have to go again into the graphics settings and set the frame skipping to 1 and the frame skipping type to the percent of FPS. You have to make sure that auto frameskip is turned ON.

After this, scroll down and come to the performance. You have to set the rendering resolution and display resolution to 3x PSP. And make sure that hardware transform and software skinning both are turned ON.

Now you need to go to the Audio tab and make sure that Enable Sound is check-marked. After this, navigate to controls and use the on-screen keyboard buttons, or in case you have Xbox or PS, you can connect the controller to your phone. This emulator will also automatically detect the Bluetooth controller. For mapping, you have to go to control mapping and click on the button you are ready to emulate as it will pop up in front of you. Then hit the button you have to set up in place of that button on your controller. Once you are done, click on OK. And also one more thing if you are going to use your Bluetooth controller, then you have to uncheck the on-screen controls option.

After that, go to the home screen, and locate the folder on your phone where your games are installed. Keep in mind that the name of the folder will be games. After this, you can load any game you want into your emulator.
