How to Set Up CXBXR Xbox Emulator

Download Emulator

Before downloading the emulator, you have to create a new folder on your desktop by right-clicking on your desktop and selecting New. Then click on New Folder, you have to name this folder “Xbox”. Now you have to download the Mame64 from https://github.com/Cxbx-Reloaded/Cxbx…. Open this link, scroll down, and under assets, you will find the download files. You have to download the 4.7-megabyte version, click on Save, and then tap on open in the folder.

Now you have to drag that file from the download folder and drop it in the Xbox folder that you created earlier. After that, unzip that downloaded folder by right-clicking on it and selecting Extract Here. Find a green C logo xbx as it will open up the emulator. When it is opened click on settings on the top and then click on config video. You will find that the emulator automatically detects your Display Adapters and also your direct 3D device. You have to make sure that the display resolution is set to your monitor’s native resolution. Set render resolution to 5x(3200×2400) and make sure that the exclusive full-screen option is turned ON. After doing all this, click on Accept.

After that, go back to the previous menu, and set up your controls. Then go to controls and use the on-screen keyboard buttons, or in case you have Xbox or PS, you can connect the controller to your phone. This emulator will also automatically detect the Bluetooth controller. For mapping, you have to go to control mapping and click on the button you are ready to emulate as it will pop up in front of you. After that, hit the button, and you have to set it up in place of that button on your controller. Once you are done, click on Save.

Now you need to load up a game. For this, click on the file and then tap on the open file. Now you have to locate the folder in which you keep all your games and then enjoy playing your game.
