This guide will let you know how to set up 2-Step Verification with Authenticator App on PS5 Account.
First, you have to boot up your PS 5 and click on settings from the top right corner of your screen. After that, select Users and Accounts and then select an account from the left side. You have to select Security from the right side, then select 2-step verification and press X to select the authenticator app.
Then you have to download an authenticator app on your mobile. To download the app, you have to open playstore on your phone and then search Google authenticator you have to download the first app.
Once the download completes, you have to use the app to scan the QR code or you can manually enter the number. After this, you will be brought to another page that will tell you that two-step verification is now on. Next time whenever you sign in, you have to use the app to scan the QR code or you can enter the code manually.
In case your app stops working, you have to use the backup codes that are provided to you. So you need to copy all these codes, you can use one code for a one-time sign-in.
