First, you have to boot up your PS5 and click on the settings button on the top right corner of the home screen. After that, click on System, then select Power saving and the features available in rest mode. You need to make sure that the stay connected to the internet is turned ON. Now when your PS will be able to install updates when it’s in the rest mode.
After that, go to the settings page, and click on Saved data and Game/App settings. Then you need to select Automatic update and make sure auto download is turned ON. With this option, your PS 5 will regularly check for the latest updates and will download the updates when they are available. Also, make sure that auto-install in rest mode is also turned ON.
Now, you have to go to the home screen of the PS and then press the options button on COD. After that, select “Check for update” and if there is an update available, it will install it.
Now you have to press the PlayStation button, then select the Power button and put the PS in rest mode. It will download the updates if any are available. When your PS will be in reset mode, then your PS will show an orange light.
