Destiny 2: Forsaken is the third expansion for Destiny 2, the online multiplayer first person shooter game developed by Bungie.
Few months after Warmind, Cayde-6 and the Guardian travel to the Reef where they help Petra secure a breakout from the Prison of Elders. Petra discovers that Variks had already released the prisoners. Cayde-6 goes to find the escaped prisoners but is attacked by the Scorn, the undead fallen. These scorn enemies do not take cover and have the most aggressive AI in the game. The guardian and Petra go to rescue the severely wounded Cayde but Prince Uldren, corrupted by darkness kills Cayde with his handgun.
Prince Uldren and Queen Maya were presumed dead at the onset of Taken War. Prince Uldren got corrupted by darkness after the Battle of Saturn and is now guided by visions of Queen Maya to free her. After taking Cayde back to the tower and arranging his funeral, The guardian sets out to avenge his death. The guardian ends up killing six Scorned Barons before he is contacted by Petra who informs him about Uldren’s whereabout in the Tangled Shore. The guardian then kills the seventh Scorned Baron to go to the taken infested Awoken watchtower. Udlren offers his own darkness to open a gateway to the Dreaming City, the Awoken Homeland. Instead of finding Maya, Uldren instead meets the Voice of Riven who ends up devouring him. The guardian saves Uldren who declares that he did everything for Maya. The guardian and Petra then kill Uldren to complete their mission.
This expansion pack features a full campaign, four new Crucible Maps, four new Multiplayer stike missions and a new best of three rounds mode called Gambit which combines elements of PvP and PvE. A new mode called Breakthrough allows two team of four players each fight each other to capture a central point called breaker. The game features dreaming city as the new location and the Dreaming City blind well allows players to use special charges of light to summon Scorn and Taken enemies to engage in public battles which culminate in boss fights. The charges of light correspond to the three difficulty levels with an optional fourth one unlocking after the third tier. In addition to that, the game features a new weapon type, a bow and arrow and the EXP level cap ahs been raised to 50 while Power Level Cap is now at 600.
