One of the main boss cards from the first big bad guy Yugi had to face, Pegasus, Relinquished is a force to be reckoned with. With its powerful ability to steal an opponent’s monster, this card was deadly back in the days. Now in Duel Links, this card is as powerful as it was when Yu-Gi-Oh! first started. So, let’s build a deck to exploit its ability to the max!
Deck Overview:
This deck uses both Relinquished ability to take your opponent’s monsters and Harpies’ Hunting Ground to destroy your enemies spell and trap cards. You want to get all the cards in your hand to call out Relinquished as soon as possible. Then you can start taking your opponent’s monsters and destroying their spells and traps with Harpies’ Hunting Ground. You can even use Harpies’ Hunting Ground on the card that is equipped to Relinquished so that Relinquished can take another card from your opponent’s side.

Harpie’s Hunting Ground – Mai Valentine – Begin Duel with the Field Spell “Harpies’ Hunting Ground” activated.
Deck Strategy:
Start off by summoning Sonic Bird of Senju to the field. The use their search abilities to look for the appropriate card. Then set trap cards and end your turn. If you summoned Senju, most likely it will get destroyed by your opponent’s monster since its ATK is pretty low, but if you summoned Sonic Bird, it will get a 200 ATK boost thanks to Harpies’ Hunting Ground. You can use your trap card or Sphere Kuriboh if you want in order to save your monster card.
When your turn comes again, you can summon Sonic Bird, if you summoned Senju first, or vice versa. You then will search for the last piece in order to summon Relinquished. If your opponent has a strong monster out, then summon Relinquished and take their monster, if not then you can continue attacking or put your monsters on the field to defense position.
When it is your turn, you can special summon Relinquished by using Djinn or even Sphere Kuriboh in your graveyard. Take the monster with the highest ATK, then summon a Harpie Lady to destroy a spell or trap card. Then just keep pushing for game. You can even use the effect of Harpies’ Hunting Ground on the card that is equipped to Relinquished, so that you can steal another monster from your opponent’s side.
Relinquished is just as powerful now as it was back in the days. The ability to steal a monster from your opponent side of the field is fantastic. The only real downside to this deck is the time it takes to have all the pieces to summon Relinquished, and if they have Twister, which most decks do. So play with caution.
Happy Dueling♪
