How to save the game?
You will need to find a save point in the game world to save your progress and exit the game. But in the case of Nocturne, look for the rooms that contain a large silver cylinder. After that, interact with it and select a save slot to record your progress.
The HD Remaster version offers a Suspend feature. If you want to quit the game but aren’t near a save point, then you can open the main menu and select the Suspend option to save your game.
