All Pistols Ranked Worst to Best in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0

In this comprehensive guide, you’ll explore a variety of powerful pistols found throughout the game, from the iconic Pride to the stealthy Her Majesty and many more. Each gun has its unique features and quirks, making them valuable in different situations.

By following the steps mentioned below, you will get into the details of these firearms, discovering their strengths, and weaknesses, and how to obtain them in Night City.

AR Raygun Supreme 9000

The AR Raygun Supreme 9000 is a toy in the game. It’s not meant for serious use except during a specific quest. In an older version, there was a trick to store it in a car, but in the newer version, this doesn’t work anymore and your car disappears at the start of the game. You might try placing the car elsewhere, but the best way to get it now is by using a console command.

However, this toy gun doesn’t hurt anyone, even though it looks like it should. It uses ammo, which is more of an annoyance since it doesn’t cause any damage. It can pop tires, break glass, and if you hit someone multiple times, it might slightly affect them, but overall, it’s not very useful mostly just for fun and to scare people harmlessly.

Slaught O Matic

The Slaught O Matic is a gun you can buy from vending machines in Night City for 100 Eddies. But it’s not very useful. It’s a disposable handgun with only 36 rounds. Even on the hardest difficulty, it’s tough to defeat an enemy with it. Also, it’s expensive, costing about 2.8 Eddies per shot. You’re better off using a different gun.

However, in the game’s update called Phantom Liberty, the Slaught O Matic becomes more valuable. It’s used to build a better gun later on. Even though the gun itself isn’t great, it’s interesting because it shows a future where guns are sold like snacks, which is part of the world in the game.

Build Tips

Now you will get some advice for building your character focusing on pistols. There are many ways you can do this, but one approach is to evenly distribute 15 attributes across various areas. This allows flexibility to switch perks for different weapons. Prioritize Health Buffs, Air Dash, cyberware related to stealth, and the pistol upgrades themselves.

When using tech weapons, invest in Tech perks, and for smart weapons, prioritize perks in the smart tree. While these buffs aren’t necessary, they can be helpful. You can use the chrome compressor to enhance your pistol experience without much support. Importantly, use Optical Camo along with the Vanishing Act perk, especially for stealthier approaches. After that, focus on improving armor and Health Buffs to ensure survival in tougher situations, even on the highest difficulty setting.

Liberty

The Liberty pistol is quite powerful and iconic in some situations, but the regular version might feel a bit weak compared to other guns on this list. It’s an improved version of the Unity pistol from an older update (1.6), meant to offer accuracy and control while allowing free aiming. However, it doesn’t provide as much punch as modern smart guns. Liberty sacrifices power for a longer barrel, enhancing range and handling. It used to be a great gun for stealthily taking down stronger enemies with one shot, but it lacks the accuracy of a smart gun, although it’s easier to use.

Even though it doesn’t deal much extra damage, Liberty sets the stage for some of the best guns in the game that you’ll come across later. If you’re into collecting crafting specs, you can buy the crafting spec for this gun from Marty Jenklow at the Biotechnical Petrol Station.

Yukimura

In the game, there are three main types of smart pistols. Among these, the least exciting one is the burst fire Arasaka Yukimura. This gun appeared in 2040 and was one of the first smart guns available. It’s said that its firing speed is similar to some robots from old space movies like the B1 battle droids seen in Phantom Menace from 1999.

The Yukimura has a magazine with 30 rounds and shoots in bursts of three. It’s a standard kind of gun that you can just shoot and forget about since it fires rapidly. However, compared to its more special versions or other smart guns, it’s not as interesting or powerful. Despite this, because it’s quite common to find, it’s good for trying out different weapon modifications.

Plan B

Plan B might not be one of the best guns in the game when it comes to sheer power, but it can be helpful sometimes. This gun belongs to Dexter Deshawn. Unlike other guns, Plan B doesn’t shoot regular bullets; each shot uses your money instead of bullets. This gun helps in situations and it’s better than having no bullets at all.

Even though its damage is lower than the regular Liberty gun, it’s a good thing because it prevents V’s brains from being damaged before the buyer chip can fix them. You can find Plan B on Dexter’s body in the scrapyard near Rache Bartmoss’s fridge, where Takemura left it. It’s ranked higher than the Liberty gun because it has some real use, even though it’s weaker. It’s not the kind of gun you’d choose to use regularly, and it’s a bit expensive.

Grit

The best place to find the HA-4 Grit or its crafting instructions is from Herold Lowe at the stadium. There are a few differences between the crafted and barghest versions. The crafted one is easier and faster to handle, while the barghest has more damage and reloads faster.

This gun, similar to the Senkoh LX, works best when it’s fully charged, which takes about 1 second. So, shooting quickly right after drawing it isn’t possible. Once charged, you can continuously fire powerful tech shots. However, it’s a bit annoying that even though it’s labeled as a Tech gun, these shots can’t go through the cover. Also, even though it’s modified, this gun still uses power mods instead of Tech mods, which means it’s more like a fire gun than an EMP gun.

It’s a creative new addition in the Phantom Liberty update, but among the in-game pistols using tech, it’s not the best and is considered the worst.

Unity

Unity is considered the go-to gun in Cyberpunk 2077. It’s the pistol V often uses in important scenes, even if it’s not always in the inventory. It’s like V’s main pistol. It’s not as powerful as some other pistols like Nue or Tamayura, but it’s better than Liberty or Lexington. It’s more like a basic pistol and works fine in the early stages of the game. However, as you progress, you might want to switch to something more interesting.

If you’re aiming for classic pistol-focused gameplay, then Unity is the one you’d prefer. It’s easy to find, very common, and not particularly special. It’s decent for stealth missions, but you might want to wait for a better and more unique stealth-focused gun.

Tamayura

Tamayura is a somewhat lesser-known and underrated hand cannon in the game, and it doesn’t have any special versions even with the Phantom Liberty update. You can’t craft it anywhere, but it’s become quite common and can be found at various weapon vendors. It’s one of the oldest guns in the game, dating back to the early 2000s. Even though it’s outdated in terms of compatibility, it’s still an effective gun. It has one of the longest ranges and deals the highest damage among non-special power pistols. However, it feels a bit slow and heavy compared to newer guns, even if you use certain upgrades to reduce recoil.

Despite its handling issues, some people like its design. But aside from that, it doesn’t have any superior features. You can change that by modifying it with weapon mods. Its high damage makes it useful as a stealth pistol, especially with a good silencer. It could be a good choice for stealthy gameplay early in the game.

Ticon

In the Phantom Liberty update, Militech Ticon is introduced which is an older pistol similar to the Omaha. You can find the crafting instructions in LongShore stacks. This gun has two ways to shoot; uncharged, where it shoots a regular triple burst of weaker shots, and charged, where it combines the three shots into a single powerful one. Which mode is better depends on the situation. Using burst fire might be faster to take down a weak spot, but for precise shots, charging it up might be better.

This gun doesn’t have any customized sights, but the default one it comes with is good. It has a spa-like feel to it. If you don’t have Gwent or didn’t choose a specific ending in Phantom Liberty, this is the only Ticon you’ll get. But Gwent is free, so you should go and get it to unlock more.

Kenshin

Kenshin might not have a lot of power, but it’s one of the easiest guns to handle in the game. It has very little recoil and shoots two bursts when fully charged. Also, it can shoot through walls, making it great for close to medium-range fights. At longer distances, you might notice a bit more kickback and spread, but it can still work well if you don’t want to switch to another gun.

One cool thing about it is how the magazine reloads from the back of the gun. You can find them pretty commonly in Night City, but if you want to craft instructions, check the WellSprings weapon vendor. Even though there are fancier versions of this gun coming up, the regular ones have their advantage because you can customize them with different mods. The tech mods for this gun are some of the best.

Apparition

The Apparition is a gun you can get if you start the game as a corpo. It originally belonged to Frank Nostra, a character you meet in the beginning. If you talk to him during the side quest War Pigs, you might be able to get this gun from him. Now, even if you’re not playing as a corpo, you can buy it from Herald at the stadium. It’d be great if they could treat the Rattler Car in the same way.

The Apparition is mostly like a red-skinned Kenshin but takes longer to charge and has slightly more powerful charged shots. Its special abilities only work when your health is below about 25%. However, if you removed your biomonitor, which usually kicks in at 35% health, you’d need to be near death to activate these bonuses. When you’re almost out of health, the gun shoots a bit faster, reloads slightly quicker, and deals more damage. It’s helpful, but being in such low health is very risky, especially in the hardest difficult setting. Essentially, these bonuses only help in a last-ditch effort to survive, and healing up would take away this boost. It might be more useful in easier modes, but on the hardest one, it’s not a wise choice.

Nue

Nue in Cyberpunk is kind of the desert eagle and it’s greatly powerful, even in its regular form. It seems well-made and has a familiar design that works well, especially in a stealthy style of play. Interestingly, if you had to choose between the Nue and Tamayura, you’d probably go with the Tamayura even though the Nue is better to handle overall.

You can’t craft the Nue, but you can find lots of them randomly in Night City. Some unique versions of this gun look different, and you’ll come across them eventually. But if you prefer a gun that’s less customized but can be customized more by you, try searching the various weapon vendors. It’s a very elegant gun, and it has some of the best iron sights, even though using a scope might be better in dark places.

Please Reload/Refresh this tab.

Catahoula

Catahoula is named after a type of dog, which isn’t surprising since this gun belongs to the Barghest series, and those guys seem to like their dog references. Interestingly, Dog Town doesn’t have real dogs, which is a bit odd. Catahoula is a special version of the Grit gun, similar to the Barghest version but with the option for a scope.

This gun has a unique ability, with each kill, it boosts your movement speed, increasing your weapon damage up to five times, and giving you a 20% speed bonus. This is great for swiftly moving around while using this rapid-fire gun. Whether you use this special Catahoula version or the regular Barghest Grit, it’s become quite appealing, not necessarily the best gun, but there’s something enjoyable about it, and it looks pretty cool.

To get the Catahoula specifically, you could acquire it as a special item from Amazon Prime Twitch drops. However, if you’re on PC, there’s a tweak called Cyber Engine Tweaks that can help you get it. Otherwise, the Barghest version is almost as good, just not as stylish. Also, when using this gun in vehicles, it doesn’t need to be charged, so it’s not a bad choice for vehicle combat.

Please Reload/Refresh this tab.

Kongou

Kongou is a special version of the Liberty gun that hasn’t changed much in the 2.0 update. It’s the Liberty, which you can grab from his bedside during a heist in the early part of the game. Kongou works best when paired with other weapons like melee, tech, or smart weapons. In the 2.0 update, purposely getting shots to bounce off surfaces doesn’t give you extra benefits like it used to. Now, it’s just a nice bonus that you don’t waste shots. Still, hitting precise headshots remains the most effective way to deal damage.

While using Kongou, you don’t get all the benefits of the ballistic co-processor, especially the ability to track the path of bullets, which is handy for planning accurate bounce back. So, without that upgrade, it’s not that different from a standard Liberty, except it holds two fewer bullets per magazine. It’s more accurate though. Since it’s easy to get and free, you’d choose it over the regular Liberty at the beginning. However, as you progress in the game, there are better guns available. It’s hard to say exactly why, but you’ll find more powerful options after finishing the heist.

Lexington

In the 2.0 update, Lexington’s fully automatic shooting style has become much better. Landing headshots with pistols and hearing that satisfying sound is rewarding. The Lexington has less range and base damage now, but it makes up for it by shooting a lot of bullets rapidly. It’s almost like a small SMG, but it benefits from a different set of abilities. Its speed allows you to use it for fast and stealthy shooting, although it’s riskier than using bigger, more powerful guns.

Trying out the standard Lexington is a good way to see what it can do differently. The best one of these, the XMOD 2 Lexington, can be won during Robert Wilson’s shooting contest. It looks like the old Dying Night but has some extra range and better handling. You might end up liking it more than the other early-game gun, Dying Night. Moreover, because it shoots full auto, it’s a good choice for shooting from cars, especially when dealing with lower-level police groups.

Kappa

Kappa is probably the most powerful among the smart guns, at least in theory. It’s the only one that shoots fully automatically, which makes it faster. Additionally, there’s a special version called the XMOD2, which you can find hidden behind a corrugated area after finishing the Spy in the Jungle gig. These XMOD2 models are cool because they combine the upgradable features of iconic guns with the customizable aspects of regular guns.

Even though Kappa ranks at the bottom of the list, it’s not because it’s bad. It’s just that the other guns are exceptionally good. Kappa itself is great, with a lock-on time of just one second, making it quicker than the Yukam Mota. It’s a strong competitor in a limited market. However, the best version you’ll get is the XMOD2 model.

Omaha

If the Kenshin was all about accuracy and precision as a tech pistol, then the Omaha stands out for its speed and power. It has a much higher damage output, reloads faster, and shoots a burst of three rounds, although it sacrifices some range and handling. While it might not be as good for shooting at far distances, its stronger punch makes up for that. You might use up more ammo and miss shots more often, but overall, it takes down enemies faster.

If you’re fine with sacrificing more range and handling, the barghest variant increases the damage even more and adds more bullets to the magazine, firing bursts of four. It’s a worthwhile upgrade unless you prefer sticking with the iconic version. However, combining this gun with clever mods, like the iconic wall puncher from the Chimera core, which reduces damage penalties for shooting through cover, can make it extremely powerful, especially in enclosed spaces.

Chao

The Chao might seem the best among smart guns when you look at its stats, but there’s something special about it that makes it stand out. It’s like a compact hairdryer, and to reload it, you have to switch out the barrel. This gun’s design is inspired by the Metal Storm weapon in real life, where a chamber hypercharges the projectiles one by one. It’s creative and has its own style.

You can get the crafting instructions for this gun at West Wind State, but in the Phantom Liberty update, there’s a unique iconic version available now. It’s easy to handle, not the fastest or the most powerful, but among the non-iconic models, it’s quite impressive.

Skippy

Skippy is a gun you can keep for good in version 2.0, but there’s a big problem with it. Skippy’s main attraction is its AI that says clever things while you fight gangs in Night City. However, when you give Skippy back to Regina, it loses its AI entirely. It becomes just like another gun called Kimura but with a different appearance.

So, eventually, you’ll have a free Yukimura, but without the option to modify it. Before that happens, you can find Skippy in Vista Del Rey. Choose the pacifist mode first, or else you’ll be stuck with the other mode later. This way, you’ll get the chance to choose whether to stick with the pacifist mode or switch to the killer mode. Despite being a bit of a bother at times, Skippy’s quirks are kind of charming. When you eventually get back to its empty shell, it feels a bit sad. It’s like using a gun that lost its personality.

Seraph

Seraph used to be the best pistol before Phantom Liberty, which you can learn about here. The gun’s base damage is higher than other Liberties. However, it’s not a bad option among pistols overall, even without the burning ability. It works well against bosses and strong enemies, especially later in the game when they’re harder to defeat.

It’s not as effective against larger groups of enemies, but it could be useful against smaller, tough groups. The burn effect isn’t as powerful as the Techtronika weapons because it doesn’t seem to get stronger when multiple enemies are on fire. Still, it’s interesting to see Padre having this tech that was banned due to worries about people’s well-being, which suits his character.

Ambition

Ambition is like a shorter version of the Kenshin, having almost the same stats. But it stands out because it can sometimes blind enemies by rebooting their optics. This blinds them and makes headshots do a lot more damage. It’s a very creative feature added in Phantom Liberty, and it also references The Lord of the Rings. In this gig, if you choose to help Hasan and give up your eye, he’ll later reward you with this pistol that he designed.

Hasan made a total of 20 of these pistols. He gave three to Mr. Hands, a fixer, seven to the vendors at the Stadium, and nine to soldiers who desired power. However, there was another Ambition made in Dogtown at Longshore Stacks. So basically, V gets the one Ambition to rule them all.

Please Reload/Refresh this tab.

Pariah

Pariah is the special gun belonging to Solomon Reed. It’s no surprise that Solomon prefers the older and dependable Ticon over something flashy and new, like the Omaha. Similar to a spy, the gun looks like a regular Ticon from the outside, but when you use it, you’ll discover it’s been modified to be silent. As a tech pistol with a single powerful charged shot, it’s a pretty good choice for stealth. You can only get it after completing all of Phantom Liberty’s missions. To obtain Pariah, first side with Songbird during Fire Starter.

When you’re near the space shuttle, you’ll need to eliminate Solomon Reed to help So Mi get to the Moon. That’s when you can take this gun. It might not be as impressive as the Erebus SMG from the other path, and it might not be the best stealth pistol in the game, but it’s all the good things about the Ticon with the added benefit of working silently for stealth. Overall, it’s still a great gun, but don’t choose that ending just for this.

Please Reload/Refresh this tab.

Dying Night

In version 2.0, Dying Night looks completely different, but the old appearance went to the XMOD-2. This new version is more distinctive, featuring something like a bayonet at the end of the pistol. It’s cool and stands out, even though it doesn’t have any special functions. It’s easy to get; just grab it when Wilson calls you as you’re leaving the apartment block for the first time.

This gun acts very much like the Standard Lexington, but it has a shorter range and better handling. The big change here is that it deals more damage when you’re firing while moving. So, it encourages you to keep moving while shooting, making it easier to hit enemies, especially if you’re up close to them. Additionally, it shocks enemies when you rapidly fire it, giving it an advantage over the standard model. However, it’s quite similar to the XMOD-2 model, so it’s worth trying both to see which one you prefer.

Unless you have a tough build with health regeneration and armor, you might struggle to get into close combat and use this gun effectively. Still, it’s available early in the game and is free, although it did get weakened in version 2.0.

Please Reload/Refresh this tab.

Death and Taxes

When you use Death and Taxes, it shoots in a double burst and handles better than the regular Nue. But now, there’s a frustrating downside called taxes. Every shot from this gun takes away about 30 health or around 5% of your health, similar to real taxes. This can bring you down to around 20% health but won’t take away more. It’s not a good idea to get low on health just by shooting back when someone is shooting at you.

If you have a build with high armor and good health regeneration, this downside might not bother you much. After some time, the tax element even applies poison to your enemies, which is a nice bonus. However, the fact that this gun has a genuine negative effect now is disappointing. Despite being a good choice for stealth due to its double shot, there are better stealth pistols in the game that don’t take away your health.

Crimestoppers

Crimestoppers is an upgraded version of the regular Kappa. It’s faster, more accurate, and deals more damage. The unique thing about it is its ability to freeze enemies in place with every hit, making them unable to move for a short time. This effect happens more often against regular enemies compared to tougher ones.

It fits well in a setup with quick hacks because it can immobilize enemies, giving you an advantage in fights. To get this gun, you need to find it in Georgina Zembinsky’s room during the Heaviest of Hearts gig. Look for a suitcase there, and you’ll find the Crimestoppers.

Although it’s creatively designed and has this immobilizing ability. It has fewer bullets in a magazine compared to the regular Kappa, only holding 20 rounds instead of 30. This means it needs to be reloaded more often, which can be a noticeable downside, but its unique ability makes up for it.

Please Reload/Refresh this tab.

Scorch

Scorch is a special gun in the game that’s like a powerful card in Gwent. You can get it from V’s stash if you’ve registered both Gwent and Phantom Liberty through GOG. It’s a good idea to do this because Scorch has great ability.

It’s just like the Ticon in terms of stats but has a bonus: a 20% chance to cause a burn with each shot. When you make an enemy burn, any further shots that hit them will magically add bullets back to your magazine. This saves a lot of ammo and makes you reload less often, which is cool. It’s super useful in vehicle fights too. It’s my favorite Ticon gun, and it’s easy to get.

Also, the gun’s design has changed to show the Gwent logo, and its artwork is from the Witcher game. So, if you’re a fan of the Witcher series and don’t like reloading often, Scorch is a win for you.

Cheetah

Cheetah is a different kind of Unity gun in Phantom Liberty. It’s all about fighting close to your enemy. The closer you get, the more chances it has to make a critical hit or make your enemy bleed, up to 33% at super close range. It also boosts damage by 50% for critical hits and does hefty damage to the body. This gun doesn’t care where you hit, it’s powerful no matter where.

It’s best used when you’re heavily armored and have perks that focus on toughness. This gun is the opposite of the other Unity variant, Her Majesty. Before, it belonged to a gang leader named Angie. To get it from her, you need to defeat her but that’s a tough choice because it’s connected to a sad story. The decision comes during a quest involving Aaron.

Genjiroh

Genjiroh is a better version of the Yukimura pistol. You can easily find it at the Arasaka residence during the devil ending or randomly in the game when you visit there. It’s better because it’s faster, has a longer range, and locks on targets more quickly. Also, it shoots four bullets at once instead of three, and it has more ammo.

This gun can target four enemies at the same time, which is great when fighting larger groups. Even though it spreads its damage among targets, it’s still very effective, especially if you pair it with the 20% chance to cause shock. If you also use vulnerability analytics, it causes a continuous series of electrical explosions.

Genjiroh might have been the defense weapon for someone in the Arasaka office. Its name is also linked to Sanada Yukimura, a Japanese warlord from centuries ago, whom the original version of these guns was named after.

Johnny’s Malorian

Johnny’s Malorian Arms 3516 is a gun that Jeremiah Grayson had in 2077, but you can get it back during the Chippin’ In mission. This gun screams rocker style from its design to its flashy reload animation and the fact that its melee attack shoots fire. Using it makes you feel as cool as Johnny Silverhand does in his flashbacks, which is the main reason to use this gun.

However, the Malorian is quite slow to use, even though it’s very easy to handle. You can’t customize it, so aiming can be a bit tricky, but it’s a gun you don’t want to change anyway. In terms of abilities, compared to an iconic Nue with special powers, style is the Malorian’s main advantage. The fire-breathing melee attack is cool but uses up the entire ammo clip and doesn’t do enough damage to be worth it most of the time. Also, it can’t be silenced for stealth. Stealth is usually the best way to use pistols, but the Malorian makes open combat more challenging compared to other weapons.

It’s a great gun and is also featured in the Arasaka Tower 3D game. It’s not as powerful as it seems in Johnny’s flashbacks, which adds to the heroic image Johnny holds of himself in those memories.

Chaos

Chaos is a gun often referred to as the wabbajack of Cyberpunk 2077. You can get it early, but only if Royce dies. Whether you side with Militech and kill him yourself, or side with Maelstrom and make sure he dies in the fight, Royce’s death is key. You can call it the wabbajack because it changes its damage type, the chance to cause elemental damage, and its critical hit chance each time you reload.

The gun’s description says good luck, as getting the desired effect depends on luck. But the reason this gun is cool is that it can cause bleeding, burning, shocking, and poisoning effects all with the same weapon. You can cycle through these effects before a fight for an advantage, although it’s usually not necessary. Overall, it’s a fun gun to experiment with.

Riskit

Riskit is a special Nue, owned by Bree Whitney, a journalist who worked during the Shot by Both Sides Quest. Whatever ending you choose in the game, you should be able to get this gun. It’s not as strong as La Chingona Dorada but has better handling and a 50% higher headshot damage, making it more powerful if you’re good at aiming.

Overall, it’s better than the regular Nue, but it shines when you’re in low health. At 40% health, the weapon’s recoil disappears, and at 25% health, all hits become critical. These abilities are useful, especially when fighting many police or Maxtac.

Please Reload/Refresh this tab.

La Chingona Dorada

La Chingona Dorada are two special golden versions of the Nue, used by Jackie during the Prologue. They’re the most powerful versions of the Nue you can own. Although there are two of them, realistically, you can only use one, so it might be nice to keep the other as a sort of friendship memento with Jackie. You’ll want to use this gun because it has two main abilities: First, hitting headshots increases the gun’s chances of burning enemies and boosts critical damage, which goes well with other Valentino-themed guns.

Secondly, this gun automatically reloads bullets that hit headshots when you switch away and back to it. This is helpful if you switch weapons often but requires consistent headshots to work well. What’s great is the high damage it deals. Put a silencer on it, and you’ve got a stealthy weapon almost as good as Her Majesty or Pride, which you can get much earlier. While it’s good for stealth, the burn effect and Jackie’s association with these guns suggest they’re more suited for open combat, where they still perform excellently, although nothing beats stealth for quick and clean takedowns.

Ogou

Ogou is another pistol you can get in Phantom Liberty. You can find it by defeating the robot boss in the Treating Symptoms gig. It’s like the Chao smart pistol, which is a favorite in the game, but Ogou is more about causing serious damage than being tactical. It’s specialized for dismemberment, dealing higher damage but with reduced range. Unlike Chao’s burst of three shots, Ogou shoots two bullets at once. It might feel a bit odd at first, and not as satisfying, but it’s better, especially in big fights.

Every time you dismember an enemy with this gun, you will get a boost to critical hit-and-bleed chances. Even though pistols aren’t the best choice against tough enemies like Maxtac, with the right build and a lot of quick movement, you can still take them down using Ogou. Overall, among smart guns, this one’s the most powerful per shot. They reduced the number of shots it fires to balance it out, but it’s still a very strong and violent version of the Voodoo Boy Chao.

Rook

Rook is the new top full-auto pistol in the game. You can get it from Slider’s stash in Dog Town. To unlock it, you need a code, you can get this code by listening to the Cassel twins’ conversation in their car or trying Morgan Blackand’s high score from the Arasaka Tower 3D arcade game. Once you have the code, the stash opens, and you’ll find the pistol inside.

Rook is interesting because it has a scope and a silencer, which are rare on pistols. It’s more for stealth at longer ranges. It’s not a one-shot headshot like other pistols, but it’s still great. With 30 rounds in the magazine, it shoots faster than any other Lexington pistol. It can take down enemies quickly, and with each hit, it increases the chance of a critical hit by 10%, up to 100%. But, missing a shot resets this effect.

It’s a gun that becomes more powerful with every successful shot, which is cool and fun. It works surprisingly well in stealth, even against tough enemies. It uses a lot of ammo, but if you stay stealthy, you can craft more easily. Even in open combat, it’s strong because of its increasing damage feature. There might be better guns for open fights, but Rook is a strong and enjoyable choice, often underrated.

Lizzie

Lizzie was amazing in version 1.6, and it’s still amazing now. You can easily get it from a table at Lizzie’s place once the Automatic Love quest has started. It’s yours to upgrade and use as you like. While the Omaha is already great among tech pistols, Lizzie takes that design and makes it much better. Instead of shooting three projectiles per shot, Lizzie shoots out four. When fully charged, it fires bursts of five shots. It’s still quite accurate, although there’s a bit of upward recoil.

The burn effect from the previous version is gone, but they increased the ammo count from 10 to 15. This means you can fire more before reloading, which is a big improvement. It feels like shooting a mid-range shotgun, minus the pushback effect. It’s best used a bit like a shotgun, especially with its reduced range compared to the Omaha.

Her Majesty

Her Majesty is a pistol given to us by Alex during the game. It’s not just a Unity variant; it’s probably the best stealth gun you can get. It’s automatically silenced, and when you pair it with Optical Camo, it gets even better. It’s a one-shot headshot for most enemies except bosses and those at very high levels. It’s faster, cleaner, and uses less ammo compared to other pistols. You get it for free during the main campaign, which is a great deal.

The best part is when you use Optical Camo. It guarantees critical hits and perfect aim, but Optical Camo has a long cooldown. So, to use it effectively, it’s best to pair it with a perk that activates Optical Camo when sprinting.

The only problem is that it’s a bit tricky to use it optimally. You have to sneak-walk quickly toward enemies and aim before triggering Optical Camo because it removes the crosshair. You can also use hip fire, but aiming is harder, and in stealth, anything other than a headshot might alert enemies.

Pride

Pride is a top-tier gun that you get toward the end of the game. You can even finish the game quickly and still have this gun. It belonged to Rogue, and get it during her ending. Pride is already strong by itself, better than most other guns. But what makes it outstanding are the bonuses it has. It’s the only pistol that can take down the toughest enemies with one silent shot from far away. It has a massive headshot bonus and even more when enemies are stronger.

When using this gun, the first shot in every magazine is a guaranteed critical hit. It’s perfect for stealth since it’s quiet and can eliminate enemies one by one like a sniper. Even in open fights, it deals great damage as long as you have more than 75% health. After that, its power decreases a bit. It’s the best pistol for mid to long-range fights and is even useful in vehicles. It’s so good that choosing the sun ending in the game just to get this gun makes sense. It’s a very powerful weapon that’s worth it.
