Andrewsarchus is a new creature in ARK: Survival Evolved with a turret-mounted minigun at his top. This guide will give you everything you need about this giant beast.
Location
To get Andrewsarchus, you need to figure out where they are on the map; you can use creature finder deluxe. You will find that they are located in the southwestern corner and in a band in the northeast corner.
Tame Andrewsarchus
Head to one of these locations, and you need to crouch near them because they are very aggressive and always move around in a group. You will need some honey to tame it, so grab it and throw it at them.
Once Andrewsarchus eat it, just run up to it and mount on it.
There will be two arrows pointing left and right, you need to hold the white arrow, and then it will turn green. Leave the arrow when it turns red, and you will slowly build up tame as you hold down the correct arrow at the correct time. Once you fully tamed the beast, a window will pop up where you can name your Andrewsarchus.
Attacks
Now if you press C, it will do a charge that allows you to run through the obstacles. Andrewsarchus will do a sliding animation if you quickly whip your camera. There will be a charge meter in the lower left corner that shows how often you can do the slide.
Andrewsarchus has two basic attacks; the left click is a bite at the front. The right-click attack is a kicking attack that shoots the little opponent far away. You must be on level 74 to make a saddle for this beast, which costs 45 engram points to unlock. You will need fibre, metal and hide to craft it. You will get an air-tight turret with a minigun at the top, which has a high rate of fire. You can also go in the first-person mode on the minigun. You can keep the ammo in the Andrewsarchus’s inventory or your own.
Movement
This beast moves quickly in shallow water but a bit slower in deep water. You can swim around long as Andrewsarchus has a high oxygen stat. You can also use the minigun under the water. Andrewsarchus is an overall utility mount to have in ARK: Survival Evolved.
