This guide will let you know how to complete the mission Egg Hunt in Deep Rock Galactic. Go through the guide, and follow the step-by-step instructions to complete it.
You will first need to go to the Miner’s Manual and select Egg Hunt. Now you will see that there are five different steps. The first step is to locate the eggs; all eggs will be marked on your terrain scanner, making it easy to find the eggs.
Once you get closer to the eggs, you will see them by the purple mass of organic matter. Next, you have to take out the egg from the wall and to do so, you need to go up to the eggs and use your pickaxe to dig them out, and when you get there, it will trigger the enemy attack, egg hunts are in three different lengths which are four, six and eight as shown in the image below.
These three mission types will determine the number of swarms that will fight you. If you try to collect four eggs, you will get one hive, and if you collect six eggs, there will be two swarms, and on eight eggs, there will be three swarms. The next step is depositing, so when you get the eggs, you need to drop them into the mule, but you need to make sure that you will have the exact amount of eggs to drop them. After that, you need to call the drop pod and follow the mule back to the escape pod to leave.
When you start the mission, you will land in an open cave that will spawn ambient bugs inside the cave that will attack you simultaneously. So you have to kill as many enemies as you can in the first thirty seconds of the mission because, at that time, you will get minor damage from the bugs. You can kill them quickly, as shown in the image below.
Now you need to go to the bottom half of the cave, and from there, you will start your mission. You will be attacked by enemies when you get there, so you must use your weapon and kill them all. Now you have to move forward and find your first egg, so you have to dig into the solid ball of flesh to find the egg, as shown in the image below.
Now you need to follow the path and collect the second egg. Now you will see that there are a lot of enemies. Hence, you have to shoot them and kill them. Then you have to use your abilities to go to the other side of the cave, and there you will find your third egg, so you have to follow the instructions to complete the mission. You have to make a quick exit plan and go back to your base when you have all the eggs, as shown in the image below.
