If you want to switch and become a goalie, you must remember that it only works on defense; it means you cannot do it when you are on offense. You will need to fire the puck at the net and then press L1 and X simultaneously. Press LB and A if you are on the Xbox. You’ll notice that you don’t have Defenders because you have the goalie.
Once the skater comes toward the goalie, you will have control there, and you can control the goalie as long as you are on defense.
