This guide will tell you how to Download & Play Portal RTX.
Requirements
1- First, ensure that you have an RTX-compatible graphics card and only Nvidia’s lineup will work with this game. But maybe Ray-tracing GPUs from other companies would work as well. If you have an Nvidia 2030 or 40 series graphics card, then you are ready to play the game.
2- You can play this game if you already own a portal then, this is a free add-on for you.
Steam Download
1- First of all, open any browser on your PC and go to steampower.com. Type this on your browser, and press enters as it will take you to the official website of Steam.
2- Click on the Install Steam button at the top right corner of your screen, and it will take you to a new page. After that, tap on Install Steam, and the Steam setup file will start downloading.
3- After the download completes, click on the open file and then install Steam. Once the installation process completes, you need to login into Steam, but if you don’t have a Steam account, then you can click on Create New. Otherwise, click on login using an existing account.
Game Installation
1- First, open the Steam application and click on the store from the top of the screen. Search Portal in the search bar, then select the Portal with RTX and click on it as it is free.
2- The portal with RTX requires you to own a portal. The easy way to do this is by clicking Add to the library, then playing the game and you’ll be prompted to download and install it on portal RTX. If you like to look at shinier textures with better lighting and better shadows portal RTX is for you.
3- Once the download completes, launch it, and if an error window appears, then you need to make sure that your GPU drivers are fully up to date.
NVidia Settings
1- Now right-click on the taskbar and select Task Manager. Expand the display adaptors, and you will find see your graphics card there.
2- To update NVidia drivers, click on the following link https://www.nvidia.com/download/index... then select your product type and product series. Last, select your operating system, and click on Search.
3- After clicking on search, it will take you to a new page. Click on the Download button, and once the download completes, you need to run the setup and agree to the agreement. Click on Next, and it will start installing.
Portal RTX Settings
1- First, launch the Portal RTX and press alt + X to access the remix menu. Start a new game and a new chapter, then you will find the Reflections and of course Telltale’s low FPS of around 40 on a 3080TI which is very low but anyways using speedrunner tactics will give you more FPS.
2- Now press alt + X here to bring up the customization menu, you will have a bunch of things here you can enable DLS S3 or customize it by choosing custom. Also, you can do Image settings.
