This guide will provide you with the fastest method to SILOS in Stardew Valley.
If you’re just starting the game, you need to fire your gardener and let the grass grow at first.
Then gather 10 pieces of clay, 5 copper bars, and 100 stones. It means you’ll need access to the mines first. After that, go ahead and visit your friendly neighbor Robin. Then select the “Construct farm buildings” option.
And then select a silo and select construct and that will transfer you to your farm layout.
You can easily select where you want to build it but don’t worry as you can always move the construction later on. Robin will not be able to start multiple buildings at the same time. The silo takes two days to build.
Once it’s finished, you can either program a beautiful mod that would implement a scyther as your farm helper or just use your own boring scythe and get harvesting.
With the basic scythe, there’s a 50% chance to get one piece of hay per one tuft of grass. Also, be careful even though weapons can destroy the grass. The scythe will actually gather the hay, each silo can store up to 240 pieces of hay. So you need to watch out because the moment you fill it, all your additional gardening work will be wasted.
Since hay from grass can be gathered from the ground like other items, you can check the hay levels by interacting with the silo building.
Hay can be withdrawn directly from the silo and the only way to put it in your inventory is through the feeder in the first two levels of farm animal buildings.
