Compass’ needle points toward the player’s original spawn point and can be used to make a blank map.
To make Compass, you just need three things that are Iron Ore, Red Stone and Iron Ingot using the furnace. Please follow the following steps to make a Compass.
Iron Ore
In order to make a Compass, the basic item that you’d need to find is an iron ore. You will need to get at least four iron ores. Equip your stone pickaxe and find some iron ore blocks.
Red Stone
Now the next required item that you will have to find and get is red stone. Use your pickaxe to gather at least one red stone.
Iron Ingot using furnace
We need to use the furnace to get iron ingot. Head towards the furnace to add coal in the lower box and iron ore blocks in the upper box of it. Add four iron ores to get four iron ingots. Add these iron ingots into your inventory.
Compass
Now move to the crafting table beside the furnace to craft a compass. Open up 3*3 crafting grid to add four ingots and a red stone in the same way as shown in the image below. You will get a Compass in the right-side box of the crafting table. Add this item in your “ready to use” stock.
