Piston are blocks that are used to push other blocks, depending on the direction they are facing.
To make Piston, you will need Wood Logs, Cobblestones, Iron Ore, Red stone, Iron Ingot using Furnace and Wood Planks. Please follow the following steps to make a Piston.
Wood Logs
In order to make a piston, the basic item you need to get is any kind of wood log. Go towards the forest and chop down any of the trees using your iron axe to get a wood log.
Cobblestones
The next required item that you will need to get is cobblestone. You need to get at least four Cobble stones. Use your iron pickaxe to get these stones.
Iron Ore
The next required item that you need to find is iron ore. Equip your stone pickaxe and get at least one iron ore block. You will find some under the ground.
Red Stone
After that, you will have to find and get a Redstone. Use any of the pickaxes to get at least one red stone.
Iron Ingot using Furnace
Now you need to use the furnace to get iron ingot as you have iron ore in stock. Go towards the furnace to add coal and an iron ore block in it. Add one iron ore in the upper box and coal in the lower box to get iron ingot in the right-side box of the furnace. Bring this iron ingot in your “ready to use” stock.
Wood Planks
And then you have to make wooden planks from the oak wood block. Add a wood block into the crafting grid of the crafting table. One wood block will convert into 4 wooden planks. Bring these wooden planks in your inventory.
Piston
Now you can craft piston using the crafting table. Open up 3*3 crafting grid to add three wood planks, four cobblestones, a red stone and an iron ingot in the same way as shown in the image below. You will get a piston in the right-side box of the crafting table. Add this item in your “ready to use” stock.
