Download Chiaki

1- First, boot up your PS 5 and sign in using your PS account. Then turn ON your Steam deck and set it to desktop mode. For this, you will need an external keyboard and mouse.

You can use this with your Steam deck, which will make the process easier, but you can do it without them. Now open the Discover store on your Steam deck, search Chiaki in the top left corner of the screen, and install it.

2- After that, click on the Steam deck icon at the bottom left side of the screen and click on the system to open the console app.

3- In the console app, enter the command curl https:// bootstrap.pypa.io/get-pip.py>get-pip.py && python3 get-pip.py. Once you have entered the command, press the enter key and wait until the downloading process.

4- After that, enter the second command python3 -m pip install requests,, and wait until the command finishes.

5- Enter the third command curl https://git.sr.ht/~thestr4ng3r/chiaki/blob/master/scripts/psn-account-id.py > psn-account-id.py

6- Then enter the 4th command python3 psn-account-id.py . Once you have run all the commands, a message will appear saying, “Open the following URL in the browser.” 

7- Now click on the link, as it will bring you to the signup page of PS. Then sign in here using your PS account that you are signed with on your PS.

8- Once you have signed in, copy the URL, then go back to the console app and paste the URL here. After that, press Enter, and it will give you a message in which you can see your account ID. Copy all the information and make sure that your PS is turned ON.

9- After that, launch the Chiaki app, and once Chiaki opens, you will find your console displayed. If your console says “ready”, you have to double-click on it, and it will open a small window in front of you. Paste the information you copied from the console app in this column in the PSN Account ID.

1- Now boot up your PS 5 and click on the settings button in the top right corner of the screen.

2- Go to the System option, select Remote Play, and ensure that remote play is enabled.

3- Click on the link device as this will show you a random 8 digits code copy this code and then paste this into the Pin section on the Chiaki app.

4- After this, you will see a message that says your console is registered successfully.

Steam App

1- Now close the Chiaki app, open Steam, and go to the library.
2- Click on Games from the top of the screen and select add a non-steam app from the drop-down menu.
3- Now check the box next to Chiaki and click on Add selected program.

Steam Deck Settings

1- Afterward, go to the gaming mode on your Steam deck and open Chiaki in the non-steam section.
2- Select your system, which will connect you to your PS5.
3- Set up a key binding for your PS 5 home button.
4-For this, open the Chiaki controller settings and select the Trackpads section on the left side.
5- Then, on the right side, assign the key of your choice to the home button of PS. After that, you are ready to play your PS 5 games on your Steam Deck.
