In this guide, I will share everything you need to know about the new event – Moonlight Merriment.
Moonchase Tales
When the event is unlocked, you will receive an event quest to find Xianling at Wanmin Restaurant. The quest is pretty interesting and takes roughly 20 minutes to go through. I will be skipping this part to avoid spoilers.
We will be getting 60 primogems upon completing the event quest.
There are 3 gameplays in total (cooking, collecting stuff and fighting enemies) for this event, and we will unlock all of them on the first day upon completing the event quest.
Cuisine Machine Test Run
We will be getting 30 primogems upon completing this challenge.
Teleport to Mt.Aocang waypoint and head south.
Talk to Cloud retainer and help her to redeem the Bamboo shoot. You can get the Bamboo shoot by eliminating the floating Anemo slime.
My timing is not that good so I will try to eliminate the Anemo slime when I’m close to it.
After you’ve collected the Bamboo shoot, give it to the cloud retainer and start the cooking challenge.
There are two arrow tiles on the floor (left and right). You can use the two tiles to control the fire under the 3 cooking pots.
You need to keep all 3 cooking pots within the required temperature throughout the challenge duration.
You cannot co-op while attempting this challenge.
You will be getting 30 primogems and a food recipe upon completing the challenge.
Moonlight Seeker (Fish Claymore here)
You need to collect Moonchase Charms and Mystmoon Chests for this part of the event.
We will start collecting the event items in Liyue and proceed to Mondstadt and finally Inazuma.
You can talk to Linyang every day at Liyue Harbor and she will mark some of the chests and charms locations that you’ve missed on your map.
Alternatively, you can wait for my complete collection guides for all charms and chests which I will be posting later. There are 30 charms and 40 chests in total for Liyue.
Trail of Delicacies
For this part of the event, you can submit food to get a buff for the challenge and extra rewards (hero’s wits and more) if you are able to submit all the food required by the event.
You might want to cook all the food if you are in food of mora and/or hero’s wits.
The challenge is pretty straightforward, you go to the challenge location and defeat all the enemies.
After completing the challenge, open up the stone chest and use the wind current to go to the next challenge location.
Do note that it is not required for you to use the wind current. If you feel like the challenge location is pretty close to the waypoint, you can go to the next challenge location with the waypoint as well.
You need to repeat the same challenge but with different monsters, up to 5 times, and each challenge will give you 10 primogems.
The final challenge will give you 50 primogems and the material you need to refine the new fish claymore.
