Tap Back Deke Guide – NHL 22

This guide will show you how to perform the Tap Back Deke in NHL 22. There are two variations; behind the back one and the front one.

For left-handers, you will need to pull the puck behind you on the forehand side by rolling the right stick to the seven o’clock position and then hold LB on Xbox or L1 on Playstation. Or you can flick both sticks outside by rolling the right stick at the three o’clock position and the left stick at the nine o’clock position. After that, flick the right stick in the direction you want to tap the puck.

For right-handers, you have to start by pulling the pucks behind you on the forehand side by rolling the right stick to the five o’clock position and then hold LB on Xbox or L1 on Playstation. After that, flick both sticks to the inside by rolling the left stick at the three o’clock position and the right stick at the nine o’clock position. Flick the right stick up where you want to tap the puck.

With lefties, you’ll trigger the behind-the-back tap back when moving right to the left. With lefties, you’ll trigger the front top back if you move left to the right.
