Zenith VR, What Class Should You Pick?

In this guide, you will find which class you should choose in Zenith and which is best for you. Which class will line up with how you like to play and how you like to run your characters?

You will also learn who you should possibly play. Now, let’s get into the detail, don’t forget to mark down on paper or your phone, or keep a mental note of what you will bring up.

You will have two categories to start the Blade Master and the Essence Mage. On either side, we will compare several different things from multiple aspects.

The Play Space

Let’s start with the number one thing, the Play Space. The blade master would require a large play space, while the essence made you a smaller play space, which is very simple. The blade master will be swinging, and the essence mage is not so much; while you need to move your arms and have enough arm space, you won’t be swinging in different directions as an essence mage. But as a blade master, you will be striking creatures, monsters, and other characters.

The Range

Number two is going to be Range. The blade master is close-range, while the essence mage is a far-range character. It depends on how you feel. Are you close-range or far? And if you cannot decide on something, you don’t have to mark it.

The Party Size

Number three is partying. The blade master is better in a smaller party, and it may not be the consensus from the community. Still, the smaller parties are better with the blade master because everyone in the party can get in or get a hit on whatever creature you are hitting. Everyone can gain XP; everyone has a chance to work together in these smaller groups. And it’s much more coordinated whenever you have to trade off positions between different people and the party to fight monsters. But as an essence mage, it’s a bit more chaotic.

In a larger party, it makes more sense to have a lot of people, land in an area, or run up in an area with a bunch of mages. And let them go wild because then it’s just a hail of bullet fire from these mages in a large party. This is spectacular because you don’t need to coordinate every single member of the party. You can just let them know that as soon as we land, it’s time to go ham, but in a smaller party, you must coordinate things better to make the smaller party work more functionally to fight bigger monsters.

Monster Advantage

And monster means any creature in the game that you will fight and anything, so a blade master has an advantage over humanoids with swords and shields, and there are many of them. There are mechanized creatures that have swords and shields, there are snake men, there are the exiled, and there are so many creatures in this game with swords and shields. And the blade master has a distinct advantage over them because you can block and strike and put your enemies stunned, allowing you to deal massive damage. You already know that at a very low level, around 20, you can fight creatures and monsters in the level 40 zones and slay them alone just by using this tactic.

However, the essence mage is better at fighting creatures because they can get away from the creatures, shoot at them from afar, and use lightning to stun them from a distance. They do a pretty good job, but if a creature with a sword or shield can block their damage and attack you, they can do much damage to you, even if you are a tank mage. You will still take a lot of damage from some of these hits. So, you should not do this as a mage in the same zone. One of the players tried to do the same thing they did with their blade master because it was a lower level and went to a higher level area. But it just worked better with the blade master. As essence mages, they could fight things like the reapers and many creatures like the dogs in different areas.

Mobility

Number five is mobility. The blade masters have a dash type of mobility that allows you to zip around a battlefield. And for some blade masters like the healing of support class, you can even drop heels and support while zipping around the battlefield. But the essence mage has a teleport, which is interesting for a VR game.

Most people have a teleport just out of the gate, but it only belongs to the essence mage in this game. This mobility type allows them to climb things much easier because they can teleport straight up, while the blade master has to climb up to things to get there physically. Because you cannot dash diagonally, upward, or anything. So, the teleport lets you teleport into much higher places and jump off them. And you have much easier mobility with the essence mage.

The Aesthetic

Everyone has their kind of aesthetic that they like in characters and games. But with zenith, if you are not going to buy or acquire cosmetics. Then your aesthetic for a blade master will always be like cybernetic armor. While the essence mage is going to be like a future cyberpunk kind of robe or something very close along those lines, and this comes all down to what you prefer and looks. But when does that not ever come into play when choosing your character?

Quest Advantage

Number seven is the quest advantage. Blade masters have a distinct advantage in side quests. The blade master has the advantage with side quests because their high attack and quick maneuverability allow them to kill creatures in the side quest much faster. So, for example, if a character asks you to slay one of these creatures, but it’s a little stronger than average. The blade master can get in there, get the job done fast, and return to the side quest giver.

Acquire the XP quickly and move on; however, that’s not to say that the essence mage doesn’t have their cool little hack for the game. The hunts you can acquire for some lower levels if you play as an essence mage are easier to complete. Once you can one hit, kill many sulfides in the lower areas, so the essence mage is better at doing some of the hunting quests. Because they can attack multiple enemies with a spell, they can hunt down multiple sulfides at a time for the lower level hunts, and because they are so ranged. The blade masters can throw their swords, but the range of the mage allows them to fly into a field and kill sulfides in all directions.

And complete those hunt quest a lot faster; essentially, the hunting quests just require you to kill x amount of a creature. So it doesn’t matter how strong that creature is; you can fly into a lower-level zone, murk the crap out of the creatures everywhere, and stack up that quest. And then keep constantly turning them in and getting XP as you turn them in. So the essence mage has that little hack for theirs, but the blade master has the side quest. Therefore, it depends on how you feel about playing the game. Do you like doing sidequests, or do you like farming? If you are an essence mage, farming might be better for you, and if you are a blade master, just knocking out quests would be great for you.

Best When?

And finally, number eight, what part of the game is the character best at? The blade masters are better at the early game between levels 1 and 25. Because they have such a high attack stat, they do well at soloing and being in parties up to this point. But eventually, their powers kind of plateau a little bit. It can get a little stale doing the same movements over and over. And over the magic does not necessarily get too boring to some of the players enjoyed both methods of fighting. The essence mage, however, is much better at the end game. Some people might even call the essence mage the meta at some point.

However currently, they are both balanced out pretty well, but the essence mages do much better in their higher levels because they have a lot more health and stat boosts, and of course, their magic does a lot more damage. They have better spells, and that range just cannot be beaten at the later levels. So, if you are going to play a blade master as your primary character, know that at some point, it’s going to plateau a little bit; know that it’s going to be a long road to get that mage strong and it’s going to take you a lot of hours to stack up to get that mage to level 45. You are warned that at about level 35, they get strong may, even level 30, if you have picked a tanky subclass.

Conclusion

Both the characters of this game have their power and abilities. Overall, the mage essence seems much better regarding the higher levels and the end of the game. But it completely depends on what character you like most to play the game. You may not like so many things in the blade master, while the mage essence is your love. The same is in the case of mage essence. So, ultimately, you have to decide for yourself.
