You will need to make sure that you have someone’s activation id as it will help you to add them as your friend in Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2. You will not be able to see your activation id on your home screen. For this, you have to press the options to open a new tab on the right side of the screen. After that, go to settings and select Account and Network.
Click on the Activation Account and then it will show your ID in the middle of the screen. Now you have to copy the name and then copy the #with all the numbers. After that, send this to a friend.
Next, you need to go back to the home screen where you will find the options menu on the right side. You have to select Social and then press R1 as it will take you to your friend list and then you have to click on add friend.
Now you have to type the name of your friend and type his activation id. After that, click on Send request and ask your friend to accept your request.
Now your friend will be added to your friend list, you need to press l2 or R2 to filter out your PlayStation friends and your activation friends as they are cross-play friends.
