Arresto Momentum is one of the crucial primary control spells in this build. It grabs the enemy and slows them down heavily, suspending them in the air. Additionally, it can isolate tough enemies and break through their yellow shields. Glacius, another control spell, fits the theme of Dumbledore’s control-oriented build. This spell freezes the enemy, essentially taking them out of a fight. This is highly useful for isolating enemies and focusing on other targets. Attacking a frozen enemy releases them, so keep in mind not to attack them until it’s safe.

Protego Absorption is a must as successful Protego blocks contribute to the Ancient Magic meter. Another talent, Basic Cast Mastery, is vital in any build. This talent reduces the cooldown of spells. The Basic Cast Airborne Absorption contributes to the Ancient Magic meter, making it critical to this build. Coupled with increased usage of Arresto Momentum, this talent is apt for the Dumbledore build.
Protego Expertise aligns with this build defensively as perfect Protego blocks will launch two projectiles at enemies. This adds to the nature of Dumbledore’s themed build. Evasion Absorption helps build up Ancient Magic as successful dodges from unblockable attacks contribute to the Ancient Magic Meter. Stupefy Mastery keeps enemies stunned for longer, while Stupefy Expertise deals additional damage and stuns enemies. Both of these talents help maintain the defensive nature of the build. Dumbledore Traits
Since this build is primarily based on Ancient Magic, the ideal traits are Ancient Magic Focus â…¢ and Ancient Magic â…¢. These are both Level 3 traits. This requires legendary gear and armor to bewitch them with traits. Ancient Magic Focus â…¢ significantly increases the fill rate of the ancient magic meter. Ancient Magic â…¢ significantly increases the damage caused by Ancient magic. They both wreak havoc on enemies and allow you to end battles with a single cast. Ideally, Ancient Magic Focus â…¢ should enchant all pieces of your armor for effectiveness. When fighting tough-to-kill enemies or bosses, equip yourself with Ancient Magic â…¢ to end fights in a couple of blows.
Ancient Magic Focus is found in collection chests in Bandit encampments. An easy way to get level 3 traits is to save the game before opening the collection chest. Open the collection chest, and if the required trait isn’t there, reload the game, and the collection chest will throw up a new trait. Keep repeating until Ancient Magic Focus comes up. Alternatively, upgrading your gear in the Room of Requirement gives up Ancient Magic Focus Level 1, and successive upgrades throw out higher-level Traits.
