This guide will tell you how to Dump Smash Ultimate Assets for Modding on Nintendo Switch.
Mod Manager
1- First, you have to click on the link: https://github.com/ultimate-research/UltimateModManager/releases, and it will take you to the official site of Github from where you can download the Mod Manager.
2- Once you reach this site, scroll down, go under the Assets tab, and click on Ultimate Mod Manager.
3- After downloading, extract the folder. Then open your switch sd card and move the downloaded folder to the switch folder of your sd card.
4- Now you are done with moving files to the sd card, you can go ahead and launch atmosphere custom firmware. Then launch Smash while holding the R button as it will open up the homebrew menu, navigate to the ultimate mod manager, and press A. A screen will appear with the text “if your sd card is fat32”; you need to press A if it is xfat and press Y. After that, press B, exit the tool, and turn OFF the switch.
5- Put your SD card back into your PC, and then go to your SD card. Then go to the atmosphere folder then, open the contents folder and then open the romfs folder. If you have a fat32 sd card, you will see data.arc folder.
6- Now right-click on the data.arc folder, select copy from the drop-down menu, and paste it onto your desktop. After this, open the command prompt and write copy /b data.arc\* “%UserProfile%\Desktop\data.arc”. For mac and Linux operating systems, you have to enter this command: cat 00 01 02 03 04 > ~/Desktop/data.arc. After writing the command, press enter and then wait until the process completes.Â
Arc Cross
1- Once it is done, delete the data.arc folder from your sd card and click on the following link https://github.com/Ploaj/ArcCross/releases. It will take you to the official GitHub site, where you can download the Arc Cross.
2- Once you reach this site, scroll down, come under the Assets tab, and click on Arc cross.zip. It will allow you to open the data.arc file and then explore its contents.
2- After downloading, extract the folder and drag the data.arc folder that you placed on your desktop earlier. Then drop it into the Arc cross folder.
3- Open the Cross Arc application file and click update Hashes in the top left side of the screen. Then click on Yes from the pop-up window.
4- Now click on the file button in the top left corner of the screen and select open arc from the drop-down menu. Select data.arc folder from the pop-up window, and on the right side of the screen, you will find a language option. You can set it according to your native language.
5- Your root folder will appear in the Cross Arc; expand the root to see more folders.
6- Click on UI to expand this, then right-click on the message. Click Extract files; the time it takes to dump something depends on if you’re dumping a file or a large folder, and in your cross arc folder, you should now have a root folder.
7- After that, you will have a root folder in the cross-arc folder. Open this, then go to the UI folder and the message folder.
