How to Join A Gang in Grand RP GTA

In this guide, you will learn how to join a gang in Grand Theft Auto 5 Grand RP.

To join a game you first need to choose which gang you want to join.

There are a lot of thrilling things you could do in a gang such as store and bank robberies, fort zancudo raids, and much more. In this aspect, gangs are the most exciting phenomenon in the game.

There are 5 gangs in the game.

1- Ballas

2- Families

3- Vagos

4- Marabunta

5- Bloods

To choose a gang, you first need to know which gang is active. Because in time some gangs become inactive, dead, or disbanded while some gangs are active too.

Now some gangs have few prerequisites, such as level requirements and questionnaires to answer about the game rules etc. It is also important if you know someone in the gang because he can refer you.

How to join the gang.

When you have decided which gang to join, then you have to go to their headquarters which are marked with colored skull icons. When you arrive at the headquarters, you can tell any gang member that you want to join the gang and make sure to take off your mask.

Then a higher rank person will approach you and take your interview. In the interview, he will ask you to show your passport so that they could confirm your level.

Each gang has a level requirement; it could be level 8 or 5 and this keeps changing with time and the leader.

During the interview, some of the typical questions which are asked are about the ghetto rules and general rules. But if you want to become a turfer, then you need to learn turf rules as well. Usually, they ask about 5 to 6 questions, not more than that.

They can ask the following questions:

What is the 51 percent rule? Which is that you have to wear clothes that have 51% of the gang’s color.

How many people do you need to rob a person? The answer is that 3 people are needed to rob a person along with a car.

How to pull over a car? The answer to that is you need 4 people with two cars.

You also need to know the meaning of terms such as metagaming and power gaming and NLR (new life role).

Metagaming means using information sharing means such as discord to acquire game knowledge that could be advantageous to your character in the game.

Power gaming means not playing in the natural fairway and playing only in self-interest even at the expense of others. For example, not revive an injured teammate just to become MVP or get better points in the game to stand out among the others.

NLR (New life role)

It means if you get murdered, you can’t get to the place of your murder for at least 15 minutes. And if the police are after you, then you can’t get to the headquarter of your gang for at least 5 minutes.

Now you can’t get into the other gang’s HQ without permission. You can’t shoot in your HQ even if someone starts to shoot in HQ then you need to give him a 5-second warning after that you can shoot him if he does not stop.

Territorial boundaries of the Gangs

In the interview, you could also be asked about the territorial boundaries of different gangs. So here are the maps of different gangs’ territories.

The Ghettos

As you can see on the map ghetto areas are color marked. In these areas and outside the city, you can easily kill anyone. Now all the private businesses in ghettos like gas stations and ATMs etc are unscripted green zones. But it is not mentioned on the map that they are green zones.

If you properly replied to all the answers to the interviewer, he will hopefully induct you into the gang. But keep in mind to remember all the above-mentioned information during the interview.

After you become a gang member

Then after they induct you and you become a gang member, you will need to buy clothes and wear them according to the dress code of the gang. It must be 50% of the gang color.

After that, an exciting and wonderful option will open up to you. You could rob a store, or gun shop, rob a civilian and steal cars. You can also trade on the black market.

Now you’ll get the license to rob anyone who comes into the ghetto and that is why ghettos are considered one of the most dangerous places in the RP.

When they rob you in the ghetto, they could take your guns, ammo, armor, black lava mask, drugs, and a maximum of up to 50,000 of cash.

Ghetto clapping

There is most of the time war going on in ghettos which is called clapping. This war is on the encroachment of territory or turf and graffiti.

It is not an ordinary war, you have to practice skills such as running dogging, and using the guns with absolute perfection, and then you’ll be able to survive those fights. Now the most favored guns used in these wars are revolvers and shotguns. One hit of the revolver takes away half of the enemy’s health.

Graffiti

In addition to stealing, you can also perform graffiti in 45 different spots in the ghettos. You have to go to different graffiti locations and put your gang’s graffiti to replace other gangs’ graffiti and it gives your gang earning of 250$ per hour for each graffiti. You need to keep in mind that once you replace other gangs’ graffiti with yours, that gang would get a notification. So you need to have a fast car so that you could run away from the spot because that gang member will be coming for you.

Now all the graffiti locations are available on the graffiti map and you can install it.

To level up, you just have to be active and participate in-game events.

Now one thing you should be aware of is that you can’t leave a gang of your own will.

For that, you have to approach a senior member and it is his prerogative to let you leave or not. It has been seen that a lot of members beg to leave the gang but they don’t let them.

The gangs keep on changing i.e there is a new leader every 30 days and in that process, gangs become disbanded or founded, etc. So you also probably keep on switching from one gang to another.
