First of all, you have to press options and then go to settings on the top right side of your screen. After that, go to the controller and select the Edit button layout option. It will be set to default, you have to press X on it and then select Custom.
Under Custom, you have the option to select your character, your vehicle, or additional settings. First, go to the character to change any button, then select that button and press the button you want this to replace with. After this, click on Confirm. You can change any old button to a new button just you have to select that button and then you simply have to press the new button.
