How to use Speed Booster and Shinespark in Metroid Dread

In this guide, you will come to know how to use the Speed Booster and Shinespark in Metroid Dread. Go through the guide, and follow the step-by-step instructions to do so.

You can activate the speed boosters by clicking the movement joystick when you are moving. When you have enough path to run, you can easily activate the speed booster. If you run against the ball or drop off the ledge, you will lose your speed boost, as shown in the image below.

When you jump and shoot the enemies in the air, you will also lose the speed boost. With ball jumping, you have to hold away from the ball after the wall jump, and also, you don’t have to find pressing away from the wall. You have to hold the left joystick from the controller to boost your speed while ball jumping, as shown in the image below.

You can also slide in small places and morph the ball to maintain your speed boost, which will help to get through more ball holes using a speed boost.

You need to activate a speed boost to set up a shine spark. When you are running,  you have to hold down on your joystick; you will have five seconds to decide whether you want to use the shine spark or not. When you use the shine spark, you will launch yourself in all eight directions, as shown in the image below.

If you want to activate Shinespark on the ground, you have to press the jump button when you are standing still and then hold the direction of where you want to go. You can release the Shinespark in mid-air; you have to move and then jump.

When you are in mid-air, you want your suit to stop the spinning animation, then press the jump button without using a joystick to activate shinespark. If you press the free aim button, which will help you get out of spinning animation, you have to press the jump button without using a joystick.

There are also a few more methods to activate the shinespark instantly. When you are on the ground, you can instantly change spark by moving to the right or the left with the last shift, then you have to press the jump button. Using melee encounters will work for instant shinespark as well. So you have to stand still, look up, and then press the jump button, which will activate shinespark instantly.

You will need to have Samus in spinning mode, then hold the direction where you want to go, and press the jump and shoot button simultaneously. You can also release sparks to part slopes, which will help you keep going with your speed boost and then activate a new size park, as shown in the image below.

Shinespark in this game is fixed; it can give one shot to enemies that will damage them fifty percent, or it does nothing to the enemy. All normal enemies in this game get one shot using a speed booster for bosses most of the time. They all take half of their HP damage. They cannot be one-shotted except for x-cores raven peak; the final boss is immune to the science park.
