How to Fix Controller Gamepad Not Working in Construction Simulator

1- You have to restart the game, if you have launched the game, close it and then restart it. Then check the controller if it is working or not.

2- If your controller is still not working then you have to restart your PC. After restarting the PC, check your controller.

3- Now you need to open Steam and go to the library to find the game. Right-click on it, then click on the properties and tap on the Controller tab. You have to select Disable Steam input and then check the controller. If it does not help you, then you need to go back and enable Steam input.

4- Also, make sure that you have to close all the programs running in the background as they cause issues in the game launching. So before launching the game, close all the programs running in the background. You have to unplug any devices plugged into your PC except the keyboard and mouse. After this, launch the game and check if it fixes your problem.

5- Now you have to configure your controller. For this, you need to open Steam and click on the Steam button on the top left of your screen. After that, right-click on it, go to the properties and then click on the controller on the left side of your screen. Then you have to click on the general controller settings.

6- You will find a lot of different options there, you have to connect your controller to your system and you will find your controller under the Detected controller. After that, checkmark the Xbox configuration support. In this list, you will get the options for different controllers, you can select the option according to which controller are you using. You can also checkmark the Xbox extended feature support as it is for the elite controllers.

7- After this, go to the big picture mod by clicking on it on the top right side of your screen and then go to the controller options to make sure that you are playing the game with global settings. Then launch the game again and check if your issue is fixed. If still your issue is not resolved, then you need to go back to the controller option and try setting this to Forced OFF or to force On.
