1- First, you must ensure that you are running on the latest version of Windows 10 and you have the latest version of the graphics card driver. Right-click on the taskbar and then select device manager. You now need to expand the display adaptors. After updating your Windows and graphic card driver, you have to launch the game and see if this resolves your issue.
2- Now you have to unplug all the devices that are plugged in into your computer in case you have a USB, webcam, etc plugged in. After that, launch the game and see if this resolves your issue.
3- You have to make sure that the Windows firewall or any other anti-virus has not blocked Elden Rings. To check this type of Windows defender firewall in the search bar, you have to click on “allow access to communicate through windows defender firewall”. Now you can see if your game is blocked or not.
You have to make sure that the game is on the private list. After that, launch the game and see if this resolved your issue. You can also turn off your security system for temporary bases.
4- If still your issue is not solved, then you have to run Elden Ring as an administrator. For this, you have to go to the location of the game where you installed it. Right-click on the game, go to properties and navigate to the Compatibility tab. You have to select run it as an administrator, then press Apply and click OK.
5- The next thing that you can do to solve the issue is close all the applications running on your PC and then go to the power options menu. Go to additional power settings and select high performance.
6- Right click on the start menu and go to settings. Then click on the game mode, you have to make sure that the game mode is turned on.
After this, go to Captures and turn OFF the background recordings as this could be conflicting with the game and causing it to crash.
7- If still, your game is not launching, then you need to open Steam again. You have to check the game files to ensure that none of them are corrupt or missing. After opening Steam, go to your library and find Elden Ring, right-click on it and go to properties. After that, select local files and click on “Verify the integrity of the game files…”. It will check all the game files and will tell you if any files are corrupt or missing.
8- If still, your game is not working, then you have to make sure that you have not applied any overclock settings to your hardware. If you find some remove them and your game will boot. Also, you can try to uninstall the game and reinstall it or you can try to boot the game with a different profile.
